Exterior
The exterior is in presentable
driver condition.
The paint has a
nice luster and fine shine.
This Cadillac basically looks in
person just as it does in the photos.
There are no major
spots or blemishes in the paint that have been intentionally
excluded from the photos. I have done my best to
accurately and objectively photograph the car and show all of
the flaws, but some are too small or cannot be picked up by the
camera. One should really view the car in person to get
the best and most accurate idea of what the car really looks
like. The frame seems quite
solid. There are signs of rust repair in the body around
the expected areas.
All of the windows work, with the exception of the right rear.
They are slow and sometimes need a hand, but work from the both
the driver's door and their perspective individuals switches.
The convertible top is in nice shape. It does have one
small hole in the typical area where it it prone to getting
pinched in the power top mechanism. I have included a
specific photo of the spot. The power top motor will run,
but the top does not operate. It may be just low on fluid
or need other repairs. Please note that the car still has
the correct convertible top glass. It has not been
replaced with a plastic window.
Amazingly,
all of the glass on this car is
original and correct as all pieces predate the car's body build
date of the fourth week of March 1967; this even includes the
vent windows.
Original glass
is a good indication that the car has not been in a major
accident and never sustained significant damage.

Interior
The interior in this Cadillac is in good
condition.
The seats are in fine shape and not
excessively worn. There is one blemish in the material
right in front of the driver's side seat back release. The
carpet looks great no stains, holes, or rips. The door
panels are in relatively nice nice shape and the arm pads are
not all cracked up, which is a very common problem for this era
Cadillac. The power seat runs and works, but not in all
directions. The original radio turns on and lights up, but
does not play sound.
Mechanical
This car is in nice mechanical
condition.
The Cadillac V8 starts right away every time, runs well, and
idles well. There is no smoke when starting or driving the
car.
The car drives great with a very
comfortable ride and no strange vibrations.
The
car is smooth on the road. The transmission shifts well
throughout the power band. The brakes are responsive and
do not pull to one side or the other.
The fuel gauge, speedometer, horn, and
wipers all work. The exterior lights work, the turn
signals work, and even the indicators in the dash work. I
have taken this car on short outings around town; I have not had
the car on the highway due to the poor weather we have
experienced lately.
With all of that
said it could stand some improvements all around.
It has a few
issues such as some of the options and accessories do not work,
the blower, some lights, and other troubles with the car that I
have possibly overlooked so I would suggest that any perspective
buyer inspect the car in person if possible. The a/c
compressor is not currently mounted, but is included with the
car.
None of the
problems that I noticed immediately affect the drivability of
the car.
With everything said, the combination of power from the 429ci V8
and the silky smooth ride make this Cadillac
and absolute pleasure to drive,
especially with top down on a sunny day.
