vehicle description

Seven Hills Motorcars is proud to offer this absolutely beautiful 1980 Camaro Berlinetta that is in terrific original condition inside and out and priced to sell. This Berlinetta features the numbers matching original V8 engine, the original numbers matching 4-speed manual transmission, factory build sheet, original window sticker, and many other original documents. This car is truly special and quite rare being a 1980 Camaro with $3,124 of options. This Berlinetta is absolutely loaded with sought after factory ordered options such as: T tops, 4 speed manual transmission, power windows, power locks, pulse wipers, rear defroster, AC, limited slip rear, tilt steering wheel, N90 aluminum wheels, power antenna, deluxe cloth interior, and the very rare adjustable drivers seat back, plus much more. This stunning Camaro features a beautiful paint with original pin-stripping, a splendid original interior, and the original drive train.

This Berlinetta is totally solid with nice body lines. It looks great, runs awesome, and is fun to drive, especially rowing through the gears on a beautiful day. This is an excellent opportunity to own a classic Camaro that is ready to be used and enjoyed at an unbeatable value. One could easily buy this car now and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to come. This Berlinetta is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combination of Charcoal over Carmine deluxe cloth interior. This is the factory original color scheme as verified on the original window sticker and build sheet both pictured below. The very low original mileage is verified not only by the condition of the car, but also the clear Ohio title, pictured below, that states the mileage as "Actual." Please peruse all of the photos, the comprehensive video, the list of numbers, and information below to get a true sense of clean, correct, and original this Camaro really is.

Accompanying the sale is a 2 inch think binder full of original documentation, receipts, maintenance history, and information on the car. PLEASE VIEW THE FINAL SEGMENT OF THE VIDEO BELOW FLIPPING THOUGH THE FULL BINDER. We could not show pictures of each page in the photos below because the binder is so comprehensive. The previous owner of the car showed this Camaro extensively and included in the binder are judging sheets from the 2015 Camaro Superfest where this car scored very high.

As a side note, this Camaro is not a dealer auction vehicle. We hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our classics come from owners who expect their cars to go to someone that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the Camaro, just give us a call.

numbers

Please note when checking the numbers that not only do the correct stampings and casting numbers appear on the parts, but all of the dates are also chronologically correct. This means that all of the parts were made and assembled in the correct order. For example, all of the dates for the individual engine components and the engine casting date should obviously precede the assembly date of the engine because the parts had to be produced before they could be assembled. All of the parts I checked follow this rule and are dated correctly.

condition

Exterior

The Charcoal exterior is in beautiful survivor condition. As one can see in the photos the finish has a dazzling gloss, deep shine, and smooth glass-like finish. The way this car shows is a testament to the care this car has received over 35 years of pampered ownership. Often times Camaro's will have particularly chipped up front ends, as one can see in the photos this car does not and the low front end is in excellent shape. Both urethane bumpers are original and in great condition with no spider webbing or flaking paint. There are no major imperfections that have been intentionally excluded from the photos. There may be some very faint blemishes around the car that were too small to show up in the photos, but nothing that is really noticeable from about five feet away. The tires are in great condition with nearly 90% tread left and sized 225/70/14. The original N90 aluminum wheels are in excellent shape with a brilliant finish and no curb rash. The trunk is very solid, rust free, and nicely detailed. It is totally complete with the original trunk mat, space saver spare tire, inflator bottle, jack, and jack accessories. The original T-Top bags are also included with the car. As one can see in the many photos of the underside this Camaro is totally solid and has no rust issues. We have included specific photos of the lower quarters, rockers, spring perches, and other areas of the car most prone to rust to show how clean it is.

Please note that ALL of the the glass on this car, even both T-Tops, is date coded and original as each piece predates the car's body build date of this third week of March, 1980 (03C). Original glass is a good indication that this car has had no accident history and never sustained damage.

The Camaro looks just as good in person as it does in the photos.

Interior

The Carmine Red Deluxe Cloth interior of the Camaro looks utterly splendid and nearly factory new. The original seats are in excellent condition with no seam splits, cracks, or excessive wear. Please note that these are the original cloth seats, not some cheap aftermarket covers or replacements. There is one very tiny spot on the passenger side; as one can see in the photos it is hardly noticeable. The carpet is also in "like new" condition with no stains, rips, or holes. The original dash and components look amazing. The original AM/FM Cassette radio still resides in its factory position and the dash remains unaltered. The radio and speakers are original to the car and still work properly and sound great. All of the gauge lenses are crisp and clear. The original door panels look excellent with no cracks or splits, and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner is in great shape with no holes or stains and no sagging. The original package tray looks great with no warping, fading, or sun damage. Please note in the video below how both seat belts operate and retract properly. This is a very common problem on this era "F-Body" and a small, but very important, detail most buyers do not think to check. This is a spectacular original interior and a true study of how these cars looked from the factory. This car has no aroma of cigarettes what so ever. These Camaro interiors are not known to wear well and the magnificent condition of this original interior is a testament to the meticulous care and attention this car has received throughout its life.

The interior looks just as good in person as it does in the photos.

Mechanical

This Camaro is in great mechanical condition. It is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. In the video below one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 65mph, shifting though all the ears, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that it shifts well, runs great, there are no strange noises or vibrations, and the car performs quite nice overall. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs excellent. The Hurst Shifter feels very precise, the transmission does not pop out of gear, and the clutch feels good. The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other. This Camaro really handles nicely. Also, the engine compartment is clean, correct, and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. All of the interior and exterior lights work as do the wipers, horn, power windows, and the blower for the heater and a/c works on all speeds. The a/c works and blows cold. One can see the a/c compressor engaging properly in the video below. All of the gauges work the exception of the tach and obviously the clock. The door lock are not completely functional and the power antenna does not work. This Berlinetta has a factory exhaust set up and still retains its catalytic converter. The shifter has been upgraded to a aftermarket Hurst shifter and really enhances the way the car shifts through the gears. The original shifter and linkage is included with the sale and pictured below. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car, especially with the 4-speed transmission and the t tops removed on a beautiful day.

Overall Condition

Overall, this 1980 Berlinetta in excellent original condition. Numbers matching is extremely important in Camaro pricing, especially with rare and desirable models like this Berlinetta with the 4-Speed transmission, and as one can see this car is very original and correct. The originality, rarity, build sheet, original documentation, and the great extent to which the numbers match make this Camaro especially important and hard to duplicate. It is a great value and we have it priced to sell. This car turns heads and gets tons of attention wherever it goes. The value of these second generation "F-Body" cars has gone up exponentially in recent years. They are all solid investments for a collector or the average enthusiast. Cars like this are the Barrett Jackson and Mecum stars of the future. One could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal effort.

Thank you for looking and please do not hesitate to email or call with any questions.
