Seven Hills Motorcars is proud to offer this 1981 Camaro in superb
stock condition and priced to sell. This Camaro is in very nice
shape featuring a mostly original interior that is in beautiful
shape, the original numbers matching V8 engine, Cold working AC, and
a beautiful exterior color of Light Blue code (21) with a recent
professional repaint with white rally stripes that really make this
sport coupe pop. It looks great, runs awesome, and is a fantastic
driver that feels great on the road. This is an excellent
opportunity to own a classic Camaro that is ready to be used and
enjoyed at an unbeatable value. One could easily buy this car now
and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to come. This
Camaro is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combination
of Light Blue over Dark Blue standard vinyl interior. This is the
factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured below.
Please peruse all of the photos, video, and information below to get
a true sense of nice and clean this Camaro really is.
Please note that this Camaro is
"numbers matching" meaning the engine is original to the car. The
last six digits of the VIN, 122178, are stamped on the engine block indicating that this is the engine that was
installed in the car brand new at the factory. Also stamped on the
engine block is "K0218DFH." The "K" indicates
that this engine was assembled at the McKinnon Industries engine plant. The "0218"
is a date code indicated that the engine was assembled on February
18, 1981. This would be correct as it precedes the car's body build
date of the first week of March 1981, represented by the code
"03A" on the trim tag. The "DFH" is the engine suffix code meaning
that this engine was intended for a Camaro with the L39 engine
option and an automatic
transmission, which is correct for this car.
As a side note, this Camaro is not a dealer auction vehicle.
We hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our
classics come from owners who expect their cars to go to someone
that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did.
We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the
car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each
picture. We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so
you can feel confident about your purchase. If you have a
question about the Camaro, just give us a call.
Blue exterior is in very nice driver condition. This Camaro was
recently treated to a professional repaint in its factory
ordered color with the addition of the very popular white rally
stripes. As one can see in the photos, the paint has a fine
gloss, deep shine, and smooth glass like finish; it is an
absolutely beautiful exterior color that looks even better in
the sun. Often many Camaro's will have particularly chipped up
front ends, this car does not, both bumpers are in great shape
with no spider webbing or flaking paint. There are no major
imperfections that have been intentionally excluded from the
photos. There may be some small blemishes that were too faint to
show up in photos, but nothing that is really noticeable from
about five feet away. There are some light scratches on the
right window. The white letter tires are virtually brand new and
sized 215/70/14. The factory rally wheels were recently painted
as well. They look like new with no curb rash and the center
caps and wheel rings are in great shape. The trunk is solid and
clean and nicely detailed with a correct trunk mat, original
space saver spare tire and lug wrench. All weather stripping
including door seals, trunk seal, window sweeps, and window
seals look to be in great condition. This car was treated to a
Ziebart Rust Protection system when new (the plugs are visible
in the photos). We have included many photos of the
underside and specific photos of the areas on the car most prone
to rust to show how solid this car is.
The Camaro looks just as good in person as it
does in the photos.

Please note that ALL the glass on this car is date coded and original as each piece
predates the car's body build date of the first week of
(03A). Original glass is a good indication that this car
has had no major accident history and never sustained significant damage.
The Dark Blue standard vinyl
interior of this Camaro looks splendid. The original vinyl
seats are in great condition with no excessive wear or
stains. There is one spot on the drivers seat half way up on
the bolster and a specific photo of the area below. Please
keep in mind that these are the factory original seats and
covers, not some cheap aftermarket replacements. The carpet
is in very good condition with no major stains, rips or
holes. The original dash is in good condition, but does have
a few cracks on the top of the dash pad. The stereo has been
upgraded to a Alpine head unit featuring a single CD player
with USB and MP3 hook ups. The original door panels look
great with no cracks or splits, and both door pulls are
solid and in tact. The package tray is in good shape with no
major warping or fading. New rocker sill plates were also
added. All of the lights and gauges work very well and the
AC system blows cold air. The radio and wipers work as well,
but the horn, rear defrost, and interior lights are
currently not working. There is no aroma of cigarette smoke
in the car whatsoever. GM interiors
from this era are not known to wear well and the great
condition of this original interior is a true testament to
the meticulous care this car has received throughout its
The interior looks just as good in person as it
does in the photos.
This Camaro is in
great mechanical condition and the numbers matching drive line
is mostly unmolested. The mechanics and the way this car
runs and drives are some of its strongest points. This Camaro is
an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at
highway speeds. It starts right away every time, idles well, and
runs great. The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one
side or the other. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed
as one can see from the photos and even the factory smog pump is
still in place. This Camaro has good power and
handles very well. Recently, a true dual exhaust was added to
this Camaro, which really gives it a nice healthy exhaust tone
at idle and cruising speeds. The AC system blows cold air and
the compressor kicks on correctly as one can see in the video. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure
it is to drive this car, especially on a beautiful day. We
personally drove this car back to our shop and it drove
beautifully. It drove straight and the steering was tight, it did
not rattle or run hot. It was a true pleasure to drive. You will see in the video below a short
segment of the car on the highway. Please notice that the car is
smooth, quiet, and drives just like a great Camaro should.
Camaro runs and drives as well as it looks.
Overall, this 1981 Camaro is in
very nice condition. It is a great value, a beautiful
color combination, and we have it priced to sell. This
car turns heads and gets tons of attention wherever it
goes, especially with the color combination. Anyone is
sure to be the talk of the cruse in when this car pulls
up. While we completely believe that this car has
original mileage of 95,850 especially due to items like
the original interior in excellent condition, the title
is marked as "Nonactual," most likely due to a typo on a
previous title years ago. The value of these Camaros has gone up exponentially
in recent years. They are all solid investments for a
collector or the average enthusiast. Cars like this are
the Barrett Jackson and Mecum stars of the future. One
could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years and
sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal
