Seven Hills Motorcars is
Cincinnati's premier Corvette specialist anda
licensed and registered auto dealer by the State of Ohio. With
many years of focused experience I specialize in 1957 to 1982 Corvettes.
There is no other dealership that can better meet your needs if you
would like to buy, sell, or just find out more information about your
Corvette. This is simply a one man operation, and this is not my
full time employment. I do it because I enjoy it. I am a
collector and enthusiast and therefore look for cars that excite me.
I do not purchase at dealer auctions; each car is hand picked by me
because it is special or rare to me and because I like it.

Seven Hills Motorcars is extremely proud to offer this absolutely
beautiful 1962 Corvette in spectacular condition with both tops.
This car is essentially 100% turn key and ready to be enjoyed.
This car looks and drives awesome, needs nothing, and is all set to
be driven by its future owner.
This Corvette always turns heads and gets a TON of attention going
down the road.
The previous owner was meticulous about the care of his vehicles and
it shows in the condition of this car. This was one of many
cars in his collection that included at least one Corvette from
every body style.
The low mileage is supported by the condition of the car and the
clear Ohio title, pictured below, showing the mileage as "actual."
However, I have no other documentation to verify the mileage as
original. This Corvette is an exceptional driver and I
wouldn't hesitate to hop in and take a road trip. Please
peruse all of the photos and information below to get a true sense
of how clean and nice this Corvette really is.
The 1962 model represents a very
special era in Corvette history. It is was the last evolution
of the of the original solid axle generation. It featured many
firsts and many lasts for the Corvette. It was the first year
to offer the 327 ci small block engine. The body style was
similar to the 1961 model year with the updated rear end treatment
and new "toothless grill," but there are some important differences.
In 1962 the brightwork trim was eliminated around the coves and the
cove vent now featured a single louver. 1962 was the last year
to feature a conventional trunk in a convertible until 1998.
It was the last year for exposed headlights until 2005. The
1962 model year serves as a bridge from the primitive early
Corvettes to the true American sports car that the Corvette has
evolved into today. It is one of the most iconic and
recognizable Corvettes ever produced.
As a side note, this Corvette is not a dealer auction vehicle.
We hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our
Corvettes come from owners who expect their cars to go to someone
that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did.
We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the
car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each
picture. We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so
you can feel confident about your purchase. If you have a
question about the Corvette, just give us a call.
is in beautiful driver condition. As one can see in the
the finish has dazzling gloss and
Corvettes will have particularly chipped up front ends, this
car does not. The chrome and other brightwork on the
car looks awesome with no clouding, pitting, or dull areas.
This Corvette comes equipped with 17" aluminum wheels, which are
condition with a
brilliant finish and absolutely no curb rash.
The tires look almost brand new.
There are no major
imperfections that have been excluded from the photos.
There are some imperfections visible in the photos and some
other small blemishes, touch ups, and small cracks when you
right up on the car that were too faint to show up in photos,
but nothing that is really noticeable from five to ten feet
away. The hardtop is totally complete and a little tweaked
as it doesn't fit the right window perfectly. The soft top
is literally brand new. It is a top quality unit from Al
Knoch and operates easily without a ton of effort to get it
latched down. The
frame shows no rust and is totally solid as is everything else
on the car.
Please note that
all of the glass on this Corvette is date coded and correct for
is a good indication that the car has not been in a major
accident and never sustained significant damage. There are
also some other small details that verify the age of the glass.
Around the 1961-62 timeframe the etching on the side glass for
Corvettes changed from stating "SOLID" to "SOLID TEMPERED."
The one early window from 1961 in this car has the correct
"SOLID" etching and the later window from 1962 has the "SOLID
Windshield - JI -
"J" is May and "I" is 1962 so this window
is most likely original, made in May of 1962.
Driver's Window - TL -
"T" is August and "L" is 1961 so this
window is most likely original, made in August of 1961.
Passenger's Window - NI -
"N" is January and "I" is 1962 so this
window is most likely original, made in January of 1962.
The red interior in this Corvette looks
utterly brilliant. It has been completely restored with
best quality components from Al Knoch. It is in nearly
flawless concourse quality condition.
The seats look almost brand new with no rips, tears, or split
They are not worn in
the typical areas such as where the driver gets in and out.
The carpet is in like new
condition as well with no stains, rips, or holes.
The door panels are in great shape and unlike many Corvettes of
this age, they fit well and tight to the door. The dash is
not cracked or sun faded at all.
The rear window in the soft top is clear with no fogging or
yellowing. This car has not been smoked in; there are no
burn marks or aroma whatsoever.
This car is in awesome mechanical
condition and is an exceptional driver. The car drives
is tight on the road and at highway speeds. The brakes are
responsive and do not pull to one side or the other. The
car starts right away every time and runs well. The
transmission is solid; the car shifts well and does not pop out
of gear. This Corvette has plenty of power, and it is very
fast. It has a very healthy and awesome tone to the
The horn works as do the headlights, all gauges (with
the obvious exception of the clock and battery gauge as the car
now has an alternator),
all interior and exterior lights, the fan, and wipers.
Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to
drive this car, especially with top down on a beautiful day.
Some buyers may have a question about the
VIN. On Corvettes in 1961 & 1962 GM attached the VIN tag
to the steering column with two small rivets. This was not
a secure attachment and often times the VIN tag will come off
simply from age. This is not an isolated issue and is very
common to encounter on 1961 & '62 Corvettes. The VIN on
this car was properly assigned by the state of Kentucky.
It is totally legitimate and matches the title, which is
pictured below. This is the most legal the correct way to
address this common issue.
Overall this Corvette is in magnificent
condition. In addition, this car is also optioned with a
desirable color combination.
Based on the tachometer and other
other items the previous owner stated that he thought this car
to be an original 327ci 340hp Corvette. While the numbers
on this car do not match, it does have a 3782870 casting number
on the block, which is correct for a 1962 Corvette. I will say that
this car is quite tight inside and was not made for a large man.
I would suggest that any perspective buyer make sure he or she
fits in the car. The "solid
axle" Corvettes have not suffered from the over inflated values
and subsequent crash that the mid year Corvette have experienced
in recent years. They are all solid investments for a
collector. Someone could easily drive and enjoy this
vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase
