Miglia Red exterior paint is in great driver condition.
The paintís finish has a very nice gloss. The car was
painted 18 years ago in July of 1991 so there is some age on the
paint, but has been well cared for during those years.
Often many Corvettes will have particularly chipped up front
this car does not. There are some small
blemishes and spots
in the paint around the car that were too small to show up
in the photos, but nothing that is really noticeable from
five feet away. The
chrome bumpers are in very nice condition for and show very
well. The tires show almost no wear. The wheels are
in excellent condition with no curb rash. The car still
retains all of its original glass including the "Astro
Ventilation" side glass and even the glass in the hardtop.
Red is by far the
most sought after color on any Corvette and also the most

never sustained any significant damage.

black leather interior of the Corvette is also in excellent
condition. Most all of the interior was refreshed in
1991. The seats, replaced in 1991, do not have any
rips or tears and show very little wear. The driverís seat
is not worn through in the typical places, such as where the
driverís belt-line may wear the seat bolsters. The carpet is
in very good condition as well with no holes or stains. Both
the front and rear carpet were replaced in 1991 along with
detail items such as the 3 rear compartment doors and frame.
The door panels are in great condition and unlike many
Corvettes of this age, they fit very well and tight to the
door. The convertible top latches and closes easily
and the rear window has not yellowed or fogged up at all.
The top was replaced in 1998 and still looks almost brand
new. The dash and console is not split or sun faded.
Most of the fiber-optic system still works.
The aftermarket radio works and sounds much better than the
stock radio ever did and the installation was professional
and I have the receipt for the work. I must disclose
that the car does have a slight tinge of cigarette smell.
This Corvette is in fine mechanical
condition. The car needs no work or service at all that I am aware
of and is essentially, "turn key." The engine and transmission
were rebuilt in 1999 and a new clutch and throw out bearing were also
installed. I cannot list here all the work that was done to the
car, but one should peruse the lists below to see the number of new
parts and the amount of time and money that has been spent on this car
over the years. The engine in the car now is a GM 350. The
casting number is 3970010, which was a very widely used block for
Chevrolet. It was also used in Corvettes from 1969 to 1979.
The car starts up quickly, runs well, idles well, and does not
smoke at all. The car is tight on the road and highway. This
Corvette has plenty of power, it is very fast. The transmission is
a Muncie 4 speed
and the clutch makes no noise and feels great. This car is
very much fun to drive, especially with the 4-speed.
The brakes are powerful and stop straight. The headlights and
wiper door both pop up quickly with no effort or binding what so ever.
All of the gauges work with the exception of the clock. I must
disclose that there has been some welding repair to the frame. Not
enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car
especially with the 4 speed and the top down.
Overall the vehicle is in outstanding
condition for a driver,
both the exterior
and interior as well as mechanically.
It always gets attention going down the road.
from 1968 to 1972 are highly desirable and have continued to
appreciate in value over the years.
One could easily buy this car now, drive and enjoy it for
several years, and then sell it for more than the purchase price.
The Corvette always turns heads and is admired by every car
enthusiast. Thank you for looking and please email or call
