Seven Hills Motorcars is very proud to offer this gorgeous 1972
Corvette in terrific driver condition loaded with T-tops
and the pop-out rear window. This car looks great, runs
well, and is an awesome driver. We have this car priced to sell and
are offering an excellent opportunity to own a very desirable
Corvette at an unbeatable value. One could easily buy this car now
and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal work and
effort in the years to come. It gets a ton of attention going down
the road and turns heads everywhere it goes, especially with the
sidepipes. Please peruse all of the photos, video, and
information below to get a true sense of how
nice and clean this Corvette really is.
While the last six digits of the VIN are not stamped on the
engine pad, the previous owner claimed this engine was a
350ci Chevrolet ZZ4 crate engine. The casting number on the
10243880, which would be correct for a Vortec or Gen I ZZ4
crate engine set up for a roller camshaft.
The 1972 Corvette was
truly the end of an era. 1972 was the last year to feature
chrome bumpers and "egg crate" grill, it is considered to be the
last year of truly classic Corvettes. Years after were more at
the mercy of insurance companies, fuel prices, and emission
concerns, 1972 is considered the last highly desirable year. It was also
the last year to feature a pop out rear window, and the first year
to reflect the change in the way horsepower was rated, from gross to
the more accurate net. As in investment, the 1972 will always
have an advantage and out perform other years because of its
precedence as the end of a very great period for Corvette
and muscle cars as a whole.
As a side note, this Corvette is not a dealer auction vehicle.
We hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our
Corvettes come from owners who expect their cars to go to someone
that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did.
We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the
car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each
picture. We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so
you can feel confident about your purchase. If you have a
question about the Corvette, just give us a call.
exterior is in great driver condition. As one can see in
the photos the finish has dazzling gloss, deep shine,
and smooth surface. The black paint on this car very
reflective and the small silver stripe on the hood is a
tasteful touch. The chrome and other bight work on the
car show well overall. The chrome Hooker sidepipes are a
very nice touch and really compliment the black paint
scheme. The wheels and center caps are in good condition
with a nice finish and no curb rash on the beauty rings.
Often Corvettes will have particularly chipped up front
ends, this car does not. There are no major blemishes
that have been intentionally excluded from the photos.
There is a small blemished area on the corner of the
right T-top with a specific photo below and a scratch on
the right headlight. There are some other small
imperfections around the car that were too faint to show
up in photos, but nothing that is really noticeable from
about five or ten feet away. The frame appears to be
solid as one car see in the photos of the underside of
the car. There appears to have been some rust repairs
done to the "A" pillar sometime in the past and part of
the VIN tag as been affected. As with many chrome bumper
Corvettes, this one could use some adjustments to the
Corvette looks just as good in person as it does in
Window Date Codes
Driver: TN - "T" denotes
August and "N" denotes
1971 meaning the driver's side window was made in August of 1971.
Passenger: VN - "V" denotes

window was made in
Please note that the "Astro
Ventilation" door glass is date coded
and original as each piece predates the car's body build
date of January 7, 1972 (F07). Original glass is a good indication
that this car has had no major accident history
and never sustained significant damage.
The black interior of the Corvette looks
very nice. The seats look literally brand new with no
split seems, rips, or signs of wear. The previous owner of this
car owned an automotive upholstery shop so he did a great job
with the seats. The carpet is also in like new condition with no
tears, holes, or stains. This included the rear carpet which is
often neglected. The aftermarket radio works, and most importantly
the radio is a Corvette specific unit made precisely for this
car so the original dash was not cut for the installation. The
dash is in
very nice condition with no
cracks, fading, or sun damage. The door panels are in great condition overall
and there is no cracking on the arm pads, which is a common
problem on this ear Corvette. The T-top
headliners are not warped or sagging. This car has not been smoked in and there is no aroma of
interior looks just as good in person as it does in the photos.
This car is in seems to be in
good mechanical condition. It is a very good driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It
starts right away every time, idles well, and runs well.
The car also shifts well throughout the power band. The brakes
have recently been services with no front calipers so
they are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other.
Please keep in mind that this car came from the factory
with manual brakes so they do take a bit more pedal
pressure than a modern vehicle. An upgraded HEI
distributor and ignition system has been installed on
the engine, however it has no tach drive. We would be
glad to include a brand new HEI distributor, cap, rotor,
and coil with the car for an additional $200. Also, the engine compartment is clean and nicely
detailed as one can see in the photos. The horn works as
do the turn signals (as one can
view in the video), wipers, and blower on all speeds.
All of the gauges work with the obvious exception of the
clock and the tachometer, which needs a needle and lens.
The speedometer works, but reads a bit high, the
odometer does not turn. The vacuum system for the headlights works and the
lights go up and down and one can observed in the video,
though the right headlight bucket could use some
adjustment. The vacuum for the wiper door works, but the
door sometimes needs a hand up. The wipers themselves
work, but the wiper drill could use some adjustment with
the fit against the hood. As with most
driver quality cars, this one would probably
benefit from a some general maintenance and tlc to work
out some bugs. This Corvette
has plenty of power and is quite fast. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive
this car, especially with and T-tops out on a beautiful day.
Overall, this 1972 Corvette is in
nice driver condition. It is a great value and we have priced
it to sell. In my opinion and based on
our experience the "Chrome Bumper" cars from 1968-1972 are the
most collectible in the entire Corvette market right now. Of those years, the 1969 and 1972 are the most desirable.
While this is not an NCRS Top Flight or Bloomington Gold
car, it is a very nice driver quality Corvette and a
great car for the money.
The value of these cars has gone up exponentially in recent
years. They are all solid investments for a
collector. One could easily enjoy this vehicle for
several years and sell it for more than the purchase price with
