Seven Hills Motorcars
is Cincinnati's premier Corvette specialist and a licensed
and registered auto dealer by the State of Ohio. With
many years of focused experience I specialize in 1957 to 1982
Corvettes. There is no other dealership that can better
meet your needs if you would like to buy, sell, or just find out
more information about your Corvette. This is simply a one
man operation, and this is not my full time employment. I
do it because I enjoy it. I am a collector and enthusiast
and therefore look for cars that excite me. I do not
purchase at dealer auctions; each car is hand picked by me
because it is special or rare to me and because I like it.

Seven Hills Motorcars is glad to offer this 1972 big block Corvette
coupe for sale. This Corvette is an awesome driver and we have
it priced to sell.
The car looks great, runs great, and is an absolute blast to drive,
especially with the extra power from the big block. It is
blisteringly fast. This is an excellent opportunity to own a
very desirable Corvette at an unbeatable value. One could
easily buy the car now and sell it for more than the purchase price
with minimal work and effort. This Corvette has been well
maintained by its previous owners. There is a large stack of
very extensive service and maintenance records that are pictured
below and accompany the car. The records show that, dating
back to June 1994, the car had a 454 ci engine and 86,689 miles at
that time. A professional appraisal was done to the car in
September of 1994. The appraiser had very high praise for the
car and a copy of this appraisal is shown below in the photos, or
you can click here.
This is one of the best values for any "chrome bumper" big block
Corvette on the market right now.
Please peruse all of the photos below to get a true sense of how
nice this Corvette really is.
As a side note, this Corvette is not a dealer auction vehicle.
Our Corvettes come from owners who expect their cars to go to
someone that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as
they did. We invite and encourage you to examine the car in
person or have the car inspected. Please take the time to
scrutinize each picture. We photograph each vehicle to the
greatest extent so you can feel confident about your purchase.

is in nice driver condition. As one can see in the photos
the finish has nice gloss, deep
shine, and smooth finish.
The chrome bumpers
and other bight work on the car look great overall.
There are no major imperfections that have been intentionally
excluded from the photos. There are some small blemishes
that were too faint to show up in photos, but nothing that is
really stands out from about five or ten feet away.
paintjob has some age and blemishes, which is evident in the
photos. The hood seems like a shade off the rest of the
car. I have done my best to accurately and objectively
photograph the car and show the flaws, but some are too small or
cannot be picked up by the camera. One should really view
the car in person to get the best and most accurate idea of what
the car really looks like.
For the most part
however, the car looks in person as it does in the photos.
The car does
have rust issues in the typical areas. The wheels are in
good condition with a nice finish. The tires appear to
have about 80% tread left.
Window Date Codes
Please note that all of the side glass on this car, the "Astro
Ventilation" door glass, and even the pop out rear window, is
date coded and original as each piece predates the car's body
build date of June 30, 1972 (K30). Original glass is a good
indication that this car has had no major accident history
and never sustained significant damage.
Driver: IY -
June and "Y" denotes 1972 meaning the driver's side window
was made in June of 1972.
Passenger: GY -
April and "Y" denotes 1972 meaning the passenger's side window
was made in April of 1972.
Rear: GY -
April and "Y" denotes 1972 meaning the rear window was made in
April of 1972.
The saddle interior of the Corvette is in fantastic condition. The
seats look almost brand new with no rips, splits seams, or signs
of excessive wear.
They are not worn
in the typical areas such as where the driver gets in and out.
The carpet does show its age, but
has no rips, tears,
This includes the rear carpet,
which is often neglected.
The dash and
console are in nice condition with no fading or sun
damage. The door panels are in excellent condition with no
cracks, splits, or wear
on the arm pads. The
aftermarket radio turns on, lights up, but does not play sound.
Most importantly, the original dash was not cut for the
installation of the radio. This car has
not been smoked in; there are no burn marks or aroma whatsoever.
This car seems to
be in good mechanical condition.
It is an exceptional driver that
feels great on the road.
The car starts
right away every time, idles well after warm-up, and runs well. There is no
smoke when starting or driving the car. Luckily, the
previous owners were very meticulous and kept extensive service
records on the car for almost the past 20 years.
A receipt from Corvette Central in
September of 2009 shows the previous owner ordered parts to do a
rebuild on the front end with new big block front springs, tie
rods, ball joints, and bushings. Looking at the car now,
these parts still look new. The service
records show that in 1998 the engine was removed from the car
and received a rebuild for the bottom end with a new crankshaft
shifts well throughout the power band.
There is a receipt dated April 5,
1994 showing the transmission was rebuilt when the car had
do not pull to one side or the other. Also, the
engine compartment is clean and nicely detailed as one can see
in the photos. This
Corvette is extremely fast with a ton of power and not for the
faint of heart.
The horn works as
do the power windows, and gauges
(with the obvious exception of the clock and the battery gauge,
which just stopped since we have had the car).
The vacuum system for the
headlights and wipers has been mostly removed as well as the
heater core and blower, which is visible in the photos.
like a big block except the real thing and this car sounds
absolutely awesome with a very aggressive and healthy tone from
Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to
drive this car, especially with the extra power form the big
block and the t-tops out on a beautiful day.
Overall, this 1972 Corvette is in great
driver condition. It is an excellent value for a big block
and we have priced it to sell. This car turns heads and
gets ton of attention wherever it goes. In my opinion and
based on our experience the "Chrome Bumper" cars from 1968-1972
are the most collectible in the entire Corvette market right
now, with 1968 and 1972 being the most desirable. The value of these cars has gone up exponentially in
recent years. They are all solid investments for a
collector. One could easily enjoy this vehicle for several
years and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal
