Seven Hills Motorcars is
Cincinnati's premier Corvette specialist anda
licensed and registered auto dealer by the State of Ohio. With
many years of focused experience I specialize in 1957 to 1982 Corvettes.
There is no other dealership that can better meet your needs if you
would like to buy, sell, or just find out more information about your
Corvette. This is simply a one man operation, and this is not my
full time employment. I do it because I enjoy it. I am a
collector and enthusiast and therefore look for cars that excite me.
I do not purchase at dealer auctions; each car is hand picked by me
because it is special or rare to me and because I like it.

vehicle description
Seven Hills Motorcars is proud to offer this low mileage 1973
Corvette Convertible in great driver condition with just 85,600
original miles. This car has a very
desirable
color combination of Medium Blue over Black.
This is the correct and original color scheme, verified by the trim
tag pictured below. The low mileage is supported by not only
the condition of the car, but also the clear Ohio title, also
pictured below, showing the mileage as "actual."
While this car is does not have the original engine, it does have a
correct
350ci Chevrolet V8. The casting number on the block is
3970010, which was a very widely used block for Chevrolet. It
was also used in Corvettes from 1969 to 1979. This car has
always received complements whenever I have driven it. I
invite and encourage you to look at the Corvette in person
The 1973 Corvette was
truly the end of an era. 1973 was the last year to feature a
chrome bumper, it is considered to be the last year of truly classic
Corvettes. Years after were more at the mercy of insurance
companies, fuel prices, and emission concerns, 1973 is considered
the last "good" year by many enthusiasts. As in investment,
the 1973 will always have an advantage and out perform other years
because of its precedence as the end of a a very great period for
Corvette and muscle cars as a whole.
As a side note, this Corvette is not a dealer auction vehicle.
We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have
the car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each
picture. We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so
you can feel confident about your purchase. If you have a
question about the Corvette, just give us a call.
condition
Exterior
The
Medium Blue
exterior is in nice driver
condition. As one can see in the photos
the finish has dazzling gloss,
smooth finish, and deep shine.
Often many
Corvettes will have particularly chipped up front ends, this
car does not. The underside of the front end, very
fragile part of the car, is in great condition as evidenced by
the photos. There are no major imperfections that have
been intentionally excluded from the photos.
There are some touch ups, cracks, and other blemishes on the car
that were too small to show up in photos, but nothing that
really stands our from ten feet away. The chrome shows
well with a nice shine. The convertible top is in good
condition with no rips or holes. The rear window is not
yellowed or foggy. Also, the top opens, closes, and
operates easily as it should. Please note that this car
still retains its original and correct "Astro Ventilation" door
glass.
Interior
The Black interior of the Corvette is in
great condition and very original.
The seats are in nice shape and look in
person just as they do in the photos with some slight wear in
one spot on the passenger's side. There is specific photo
below showing the wear. The
carpet is in decent condition, especially for being original.
This includes the rear carpet with is often neglected.
There is one spot in the drivers side foot well that is visible
in the photos, however, the area it totally covered by the floor
mat. The dash and console are in terrific condition with
no cracks, sun damage, or fading. There is one very
small crack right in front of the radio that is visible in the
photos. The plastic header by the convertible top handles
is also cracked in the center.
The car features an aftermarket radio that was make specifically
for this era Corvette and fits in the stock location.
Thankfully, the console was not cut or modified for the
installation.
This car has not been smoked in, there is no ash in the ashtray,
no burn marks, and no odor what so ever.
The original pedal pads are not
excessively worn, and as one can see from the pictures show
normal wear for a car with this mileage.
Mechanical
This car is in good mechanical
condition. It is an very nice driver that is
tight on the road and at highway speeds.
There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. The
transmission shifts smoothly throughout the power band.
Also, the engine compartment is beautifully clean and detailed
as one can see in the photos. This
Corvette has plenty of power. It idles well, runs well,
and starts right away every time with a manual choke. The
brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other.
The car stops okay, but not as well as
other Corvettes we have had.
The car has an
aftermarket cruise control system that actually still works as
do the headlights (slowly), headlight override vacuum switch,
all gauges (with
the obvious exception of the clock),
interior and exterior lights, and wipers.
The only other items I am aware of on the car that do not work
are the horn and a/c. The compressor is free and not
locked up so the system most likely needs to be recharged.
These are minor
issues that are present on many of Corvettes we encounter from
this era, that do no affect drivability, and that most owners
would not disclose.
Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to
drive this car, especially with the top down on a beautiful day.
Overall
Condition
Overall this Corvette is in great drier
condition. Corvette convertibles are more rare and always
draw a premium. In addition, this Corvette is also
optioned with a very desirable color combination. The
value of the C3 body style Corvettes has gone up dramatically in
the past few years. They are all solid investments for a
collector. Someone could drive and enjoy this vehicle for
several years and sell it for more than the purchase price.
