The 1973 Corvette was
truly the end of an era. 1973 was the last year to feature a
chrome bumper, it is considered to be the last year of truly classic
Corvettes. Years after were more at the mercy of insurance
companies, fuel prices, and emission concerns, 1973 is considered
the last "good" year by many enthusiasts. As in investment,
the 1973 will always have an advantage and out perform other years
because of its precedence as the end of a a very great period for
Corvette and muscle cars as a whole.
As a side note, this Corvette is not
a dealer auction vehicle.I hand pick each car after
careful inspection. Our cars come from owners who expect
their cars to go to someone that will give the vehicle the same care
as they did. Please take the time to examine each picture I
have provided. I photograph each vehicle to the greatest
extent so you can feel confident. I welcome you to inspect the
car in person. If you have a question about the Corvette, just

condition
Exterior
The Elkhart
Green exterior paint is in excellent condition. This car
is in it's original color as indicated by the trim pad number,
987. There are no major scratches or blemishes in the
paint. The paint’s finish has a brilliant gloss.
Often many corvettes will have particularly chipped up front
ends,
this car does not. The underside of the front
end is in great condition. This part of the car is very
fragile and a testament to the meticulous care this car has
received throughout it's life. There are some spots in the
paint that were too small to show in in photos, but nothing that
can been seen from 5 feet away. The chrome bumper is in
overall nice driver condition. The tires are literally
brand new and still have the tits on them. The wheels are
original to this car as indicated by the date codes on the rims
and are in excellent condition. All of the glass on this
car is original as indicated by the date codes, which is a great
indication of no collision damage. The frame and
everything else on the car is very solid. There are
absolutely no rust issues with the car what so ever.
The car looks just as good in person as it does in the photos.
Interior
The Medium Saddle interior of the corvette
is in nice original condition. This car is an original
medium saddle leather car as indicated by the trim pad number,
416. The seats are in great original condition. I
have specifically included a photo of the area where the driver
gets in and out because this it is so prone to excessive wear.
Please note the seats are leather not vinyl, which is correct
for this car. Also, the seats are original, not some cheap
aftermarket replacement. The carpet is also in nice
original condition with no stains. There is a small area
of carpet in the very back of the storage area on the left side
of the car that is not as nice as the rest. All of the
gauges work, with the obvious exception of the clock. The
dash and center console look awesome and have no tears or
cracks. The original pedal pads are not excessively worn,
and as one can see from the pictures show normal wear for a car
with this mileage. The stock original radio actually works
pretty well and gets decent reception. However, only the
right speaker works. It is obvious this car has not been
molested, the original jack is still in place as well as the
associated stickers on the storage compartment lids.
Mechanical
This
Corvette is
numbers matching. The last six digits of the car's
vin, 416087, are stamped on the engine pad meaning this engine
is original to this car. It starts up quickly, runs well,
and idles well. This Corvette has plenty of power, it is
very fast. The transmission is a three speed automatic.
The car shifts smoothly through the engine’s power band.
The brakes are powerful and stop well. I cannot emphasize
enough what a pleasure it is driving this car. The
headlights pop up quickly with no effort or binding what so
ever.
The pull down
vacuum switch for the headlights works as well. All of the
interior and exterior lights work.
It is tight on the road and at highway speeds.
The frame is in
excellent condition with no rust and I have seen no evidence of
corrosion around the windshield and "A" pillar
Overall
Condition
The overall condition of this 1973
Corvette is in terrific condition. Numbers matching is
extremely important in Corvette pricing. The originality
and the great extent to which the numbers match make this car
especially important and very hard to duplicate. Cars like
this are the Barrett Jackson stars of the future. The 1973
model year is the star of today and the future investment vise,
the 1963-1967 cars have hit their peak and are coming down, this
model year is beyond doubt one of the most sound and secure
ventures one could make into the Corvette market. One
could enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more
than your purchase price. Thank you for looking and please
email or call with any questions.
