Corvette in excellent condition. This car looks great, runs
great, and is an awesome driver.
We have this car priced to sell and are offering an excellent

This Corvette have been finished in a very striking dark blue
metallic over blue interior. I cannot convey how many compliments
this car has received since we have had it and everyone who sees is
loves the color. It gets a ton of
attention going down the road and turns heads everywhere it goes. The low mileage is verified not only by the condition of the car,
but also the clear Ohio title showing the mileage
as "Actual." Please peruse all of the photos, video, and
information below to get a true sense of how
nice and clean this Corvette really is.
This Corvette is an original and verifiable L82 model as
indicated by the fifth digit of the VIN. Normal base
Corvettes have "J" in the fifth digit, while only the L82
models have a "T" in the fifth spot such as this car.
While this Corvette is not completely numbers matching, the
engine block does have a 3790010 casting number. This casting
number was used in Corvettes from 1969 through 1979, including those optioned
with the L82 engine option.
Corvette was truly the end of an era. 1973 was the last year
to feature a chrome bumper and is considered by some to be
the last year of truly classic Corvettes. Model years after
were more at the mercy of insurance companies, fuel prices,
and emission concerns, 1973 is considered the last "good"
year by many enthusiasts. The 1973 model year is also
considered a special and different year for Corvette
enthusiasts as it was the only model to have chrome in the
back and a rubber bumper in the front. It is representative
of the transition Corvette was making at the time. As in
investment, the 1973 will always have an advantage and out
perform other years because of its precedence as the end of
a a very great period for Corvette and muscle cars as a
As a side note, this Corvette is not a dealer auction vehicle.
We hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our
Corvettes come from owners who expect their cars to go to someone
that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did.
We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the
car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each
picture. We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so
you can feel confident about your purchase. If you have a
question about the Corvette, just give us a call.
blue exterior is in
great driver condition. As one can see in the
photos the finish has dazzling gloss, deep shine, and smooth finish.
The chrome bumpers and other bight work on the car show
very well. The wheels and center caps are in excellent condition with a nice finish. Often Corvettes will have particularly chipped up front
ends, this car does not. There are
no major blemishes that have been intentionally excluded
from the photos. There are some small imperfections
around the car and some that were too faint to show up in photos,
but nothing that is really noticeable from about five or
ten feet away. As one can see in the
photos of the underside of the car, this Corvette is
solid with absolutely NO RUST ISSUES. There is no
rust around the "key hole" area of the frame in front of
the rear tires and no evidence of corrosion around the
windshield or "birdcage," the most common areas for
rust on C3 Corvettes.
Corvette looks just as good in person as it does in
Window Date Codes
Driver: CY - "C" denotes
November and "Y" denotes
1972 meaning the driver's side window was made in
November of 1972.
Passenger: CY - "C" denotes
and "Y" denotes 1972 meaning the passenger's side
window was made in
Rear: YY - The first "Y" denotes
October and the second "Y" denotes 1972
meaning the rear window was made in
October of 1972.
Please note that the "Astro
Ventilation" door glass and rear glass are date coded
and original as each piece predates the car's body build
date of January 4, 1973 (E04). Original glass is a good indication
that this car has had no major accident history
and never sustained significant damage.
The blue interior of the Corvette looks
absolutely superb. The seats look almost brand new with no
split seems, rips, or signs of wear. The carpet is also in like new condition
with no tears, holes, or stains. This included the rear carpet which is often neglected. The dash and console are in
nice condition with no
fading or sun damage. The radio is correct and original, but
does not turn on. The door panels are in excellent condition
with no cracks on the arm pads, which is a very common problem
on this era Corvette. The T-top
headliners are not warped or sagging. The jack and jack
handle are present and stowed correctly behind the passenger
seat, which is pictured below showing the original jack decal on
the compartment lid. This car has not been smoked in and there is no aroma of
cigarettes whatsoever. Corvette interiors are not known to wear well and the excellent condition of this
interior is a testament to the meticulous care this car has
received throughout it's life. Even very detailed items that are
almost always broken or shabby are not on this car; details such
as the finger pulls for the rear storage compartment and the fit
of the center gauge cluster with the shifter console and down to
the parking brake console.
interior looks just as good in person as it does in the photos.
This car is in seems to be in
good mechanical condition. It is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It
starts right away every time, idles well, and runs well.
The car also shifts well throughout the power band. The brakes
are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other.
Also, the engine compartment is clean and nicely
detailed as one can see in the photos. The horn works as
do all the exterior lights, turn signals (as one can
view in the video), all
gauges (with the obvious exception of the clock), wipers, and blower
on all speeds except high. The entire vacuum system for the headlights works correctly from
both switches on the dash and override
switch; the headlight operation from both switches can be viewed in the video
The only item mechanically we are aware of that is not
functional is the a/c. The previous owner stated to us
that he just had the system serviced this year for
spring. It was working and functioning properly when a
leak developed in the condenser. A brand new AC Delco
condenser is only $219 from RockAuto. As with most
of the driver quality cars, this one would probably
benefit from a tune up to smooth out the idle and some general maintenance. This Corvette
has plenty of power and is quite fast. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive
this car, especially with and T-tops out on a beautiful day.
Overall, this 1973
Corvette is in fantastic driver condition. It is a great
value and we have priced it to sell. The value of third
generation Corvettes has increased dramatically in
recent times, this is especially true for and C3 with a
chrome bumper. They are solid and wise investments for a
While this is not an NCRS Top Flight or Bloomington Gold
car, it is a very nice driver quality Corvette and a
great car for the money.
