about our dealership
Seven Hills Motorcars is Cincinnati's premier Corvette specialist.   We are a licensed and registered auto dealer by the State of Ohio.  With many years of focused experience I specialize in 1963 to 1982 Corvettes.  There is no other dealership that can better meet your needs if you would like to buy, sell, or just find out more information about your Corvette.  This is simply a one man operation, and this is not my full time employment.  I do it because I enjoy it.  I am a collector and enthusiast and therefore look for cars that excite me.  I do not purchase at dealer auctions; each car is hand picked by me because it is special or rare to me and because I like it.

vehicle description

Seven Hills Motorcars is very happy to offer this completely numbers matching 1974 Corvette convertible with only 45,375 original miles and both the soft and hardtop.  This Corvette is in gorgeous condition and needs nothing.  It is essentially 100% turn key and ready to be driven.  The car is in it's original color scheme of Classic White (10) over Black (400) as indicated by the trim pad, pictured below.  This Corvette is an exceptional driver and I wouldn't hesitate to hop in and take a road trip.  The low mileage is verified by not only the condition of the car, but also the clear Ohio title stating the mileage as "actual."  Please peruse all of the photos and the list of numbers below to get a true sense of this Corvette.

Only 5,474 convertibles were made in 1974 and only 2612 came with an auxiliary hard top.  A brand new restyled rear end was first featured in 1974.  The conventional rear bumper was replaced with a sloping two piece design.  This was the only year for the split rear bumper Corvette.  The new rear end eliminated the last vestiges of the long-lived rear-deck-lid spoiler and replaced it with a smooth-surfaced rear deck and a body-colored resilient extension covering the actual rear bumper and including the circular taillights meeting new federal energy-absorbing standards.

As a side note, this Corvette is not a dealer auction vehicle.  We hand pick each car after careful inspection.  Our Corvettes come from owners who expect their cars to go to someone that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did.  We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car inspected.  Please take the time to scrutinize each picture.  We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel confident about your purchase.  If you have a question about the Corvette, just give us a call.

condition

Exterior

The Classic White exterior is in beautiful driver condition.  As one can see in the photos the finish has dazzling gloss and smooth finish.  Often many corvettes will have particularly chipped up front ends, this car does not.  The underside of the front end is in great condition as evidenced by the photos.  There are no major imperfections that have been excluded from the photos.  There may be some small blemishes that were much too small to show up in photos, but nothing that is significant and nothing that is really noticeable from five feet away.  The tires look almost brand new.  The convertible top looks great with no tears, holes, or excessive wear.  The rear window is clear with no yellow or foggy areas.  This Corvette has absolutely NO rust issues.  The frame is totally solid with no rust in front of the rear tire and I have seen no evidence of corrosion around the windshield.

This Corvette looks just as good in person as it does in the photos.

Interior

The Black interior is in superb condition.  The seats do not have any rips or tears and show almost no wear.  The carpet is in fabulous condition as well with no rips, holes, or stains.  This includes the rear carpet which is often neglected.  The pedal pads are not excessively worn, and as one can see from the photos, show normal wear for a car with this mileage.  The aftermarket Corvette radio works well.  Most importantly, the dash was not cut for the installation of the radio because the radio was made to fit this car.  The door panels have no cracks, are not warped, and fit tightly to the door.  The dash is not split or sun faded at all.  The convertible top operates easily as it should, but as with many vintage Corvettes from this era the top does not fit perfectly around the side windows.  This car has not been smoked in; there are no burn marks or aroma what so ever.

Mechanical

This Corvette is in great mechanical condition as one would expect from 45,000 mile car; it has no issues and is a great driver.  The car starts right away every time, runs well, and idles well.  There is no smoke when starting or driving the car.  The transmission shifts smoothly.  All of the interior and exterior lights work and the headlights pop up with no binding.  All of the gauges work with the obvious exception of the clock.  The car drives terrifically; it is very tight on the road and at highway speeds.  The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other.  This Corvette has plenty of power and is very fast.  Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car, especially with top down on a nice day.

Overall
Condition

Overall this 1974 Corvette convertible is in marvelous condition.  Numbers matching is extremely important in Corvette pricing.  The originality, the very low miles, having both tops, and the great extent to which the numbers match make this car especially important and nearly impossible to duplicate.  Cars like this are the Barrett Jackson stars of the future.  The 1974 or 1975 Corvette convertible is the star of today and the future investment vise; it is beyond doubt one of the most sound and secure ventures one could make into the Corvette market.  One could enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than your purchase price.
