Year:

  1960

Seven Hills Motorcars is very proud to offer this very low mileage 1960 Pontiac Ventura for sale.  This Pontiac has been driven just under 54,000 miles since new.  The mileage was verified by the two previous owners as original and the title states the mileage as "actual."  The most recent owner of this car was an avid local car collector.  This was one of many cars in his collection and like the other classics and collectable he owns this car received top notch meticulous care and maintenance.  The white over tri-tone blue is a desirable and very handsome color combination.  By and large, this car is a very clean driver and remarkably original.

As a side note, this Pontiac is not a dealer auction vehicle.  We hand pick each car after careful inspection.  Our cars come from owners who expect their cars to go to someone that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did.  We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car inspected.  Please take the time to examine each picture.  We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel confident about your purchase.  If you have a question about the Pontiac, just give us a call.

1960 was the second year of Pontiac's "Wide Track" platform that was introduced in 1959.  1960 was the first year that Pontiac offered the brand new Ventura Model.  The Pontiac Ventura was first offered as a trim package on the 1960 Pontiac Catalina four-door Vista sedan and two-door hardtop. The package included exterior identification, deluxe wheel covers, a sport steering wheel, and distinctive tri-tone Morrokide seats.  The 1960 Ventura featured the iconic 389 ci V8 engine that later appeared in the GTO.  For Venturas with automatic transmissions, the engine was a high-compression (10.25: 1) 389 rated at 283 horsepower at 4,400 rpm and 413 pound-feet at 2,800.

about our dealership
Seven Hills Motorcars is Cincinnati's premier Corvette specialist and a licensed and registered auto dealer by the State of Ohio.  With many years of focused experience I specialize in 1963 to 2004 Corvettes.  There is no other dealership that can better meet your needs if you would like to buy, sell, or just find out more information about your Corvette.  This is simply a one man operation, and this is not my full time employment.  I do it because I enjoy it.  I am a collector and enthusiast and therefore look for cars that excite me.  I do not purchase at dealer auctions; each car is hand picked by me because it is special or rare to me and because I like it.

ventura  condition

Exterior

The white exterior paint is in outstanding driver condition.  It has very nice gloss with no oxidation, peeling, or fading.  There are no major paint defects what so ever.  There are a few spots that were too small to show up in photos, but nothing that can be seen from 5 feet away.  The body is very straight and body gaps look very good.  The chrome and other brightwork on this car looks great with no rust or major pitting.  The Pontiac wheel covers are in excellent condition with a nice finish and no curb rash.  The car looks just as good in person as it does in the photos.

Interior

The interior of this Pontiac is in awesome condition for original.  The seats look great and are not overly worn.  There are however 3 small tears on the driver's side that could be repair.  I have specially included close up photos of the drivers seat to show these spots.  The rear seats look almost brand new.  Also, please note that these are the original tri-tone Morrokide seats, they have not been replaced or recovered with cheap aftermarket replacements.  The carpet is in nice condition with no stains, rips, or holes This includes the rear carpet with is often neglected.  The dash in not sun faded or cracked.  The previous owner was not a smoker and there is no ash in the ashtray, aroma, or burn marks.  There is an aftermarket radio discretely installed out of sight in the glove box.

Mechanical

This car is in great mechanical condition.  The transmission was just totally overhauled in preparation for this sale.  Like most old carbureted cars this one is cold blooded.  It does stat easily, idle well, and run well.  The transmission shifts smoothly throughout the power band.  The car is smooth on the road and drives well.  The car stops straight and powerfully.  The interior lights still work and even all of the fan and climate controls are still functional.  The power drivers seats works, but doesn't move the passenger side.  Also, the right headlight seems dimmer than the left.  This car always turns head and gets plenty of attention wherever it goes.

Overall

Overall this Pontiac is in fantastic condition and will make someone and awesome driver.  The pictures reflect how the car looks in person.  I include so many photos to accurately represent the vehicle as best as possible.  A car in this condition will continue to appreciate in value over the years.  One could buy this car today, drive and enjoy it for a few years, and sell it for more than the purchase price.  Thank you for looking and please email or call with any questions.
