Exterior

The Black exterior is in fantastic condition. As one can see in the photos the finish has a terrific gloss, deep shine, and smooth finish. The chrome mustang pony wheels are in like new condition with a brilliant finish and no pitting. The front 245/45R17 and rear 275/40R17 Nitto NT555 tires have plenty of tread left. There are no major imperfections that have been intentionally excluded from the photos. This Mustang has no rust issues. As one can see in the many photos of the underside of the car, it is very clean underneath. We have included specific photos of the rear spring mounts, rockers, lower quarter panels, and the area's most prone to rust to show how nice this car looks.

The car looks just as good in person as it does in the photos.

Interior

The opal gray Cloth interior in this Mustang is in outstanding condition. The seats look almost brand new and appear as good in person as they do in the photos with no split means, holes, or excessive wear. The carpet is also in great condition with no stains, holes, or tears. The gauge faces are crisp and clean and the lenses are crystal clear. The door panels are in excellent shape and the door pulls are solid and intact. The dash and console are in great condition with no cracks, fading, or sun damage. The jack and jack handle are still with the car. The original space saver spare is still with the car. This Mustang has never been smoked in; there are no burns marks and no aroma of cigarettes at all.

Mustang interiors from this era are not known to wear well, and the great condition of this interior is a huge testament to the meticulous care and attention this car has received throughout its life.

Mechanical

This Mustang seems to be in very good mechanical condition. The car starts right away every time, runs well, and idles smooth. It drives great and feels nice on the road and at highway speeds. In the video in this ad one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there are no vibrations or strange noises and the car performs quite well overall. The brakes do not pull to one side or the other. The shifter is tight and the transmission does not pop out of gear. The clutch feels good. There is no blue smoke when starting or driving the car. The car runs cool and does not overheat. This Mustang has plenty of power and sounds great. Also, the engine compartment is beautifully clean, detailed, and correct as one can see in the photos.

The horn works as do all the exterior lights, interior lights, wipers, power windows, and power locks. All of the gauges work. The blower for the heater and a/c works on all speeds. The air conditioning itself also works and blows cold. One can observe the a/c compressor clicking on and engaging properly in the video. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car, especially with the 5-speed manual transmission.

Also, for any 1990 Mustang you may look at, be sure to verify that the "check engine" and other dash warning lights are working correctly. The check engine light should go on when the key is turned on as a confirmation that the light is working, then quickly go off when the car is started. A great number of Mustangs from this era have had the warning light bulbs removed to mask other problems. As one can observe in the video the "check engine" light and other warning lights on this car operates just as it should, going on with the car as a check and then going off when started.

The car runs and drives just as well as it looks.

Overall Condition

Overall, this 1990 Mustang LX is in magnificent driver condition. The very low miles, the beautiful color combination, and the excellent overall condition make this car especially important and hard to duplicate. The LX trim level, hatchback body style, and manual transmission make this car particularly desirable. This Mustang always gets a ton of attention driving down the road.
