Seven Hills Motorcars is very proud to offer this beautiful one-owner 1987 Toyota MR2 in excellent condition. It looks spectacular, runs great, and is an excellent driver. The Toyota is finished in the beautiful and highly desirable color combination of Dark Blue over blue interior. This is also the correct and original color scheme, verified by the codes in the vehicle data sticker that is still on the car and pictured in this ad. The low original mileage is also verified not only by the condition of the car, but also by the clear Ohio title, pictured in this ad, showing the mileage as "Actual."

We purchased this car from the estate of a local gentleman. He bought this MR2 brand new in 1987 and took excellent care of the car throughout the years. We actually purchased this Toyota and a classic Corvette from his daughter who was handling his estate. We personally knew the original owner and this car since the 1990's.

There is also a copy of the AutoCheck report in this ad. The report is totally clean, shows no accident history, and verifies the low mileage.

Many in the classic car industry agree that Japanese classics like this generation of MR2 are becoming very popular and appreciated. Exterior

The Dark Blue exterior is in excellent driver condition. As one can see in the photos, the paint has a brilliant gloss, deep shine, and smooth finish. The previous owner said that this car has never been in any kind of accident. The car exhibits body panel fit and both doors open and shut nicely. The wheels are in great shape with a brilliant finish and no curb rash. The Firestone tires have about 95% tread left and are correctly sized 185/60R14. There are no major imperfections that have been intentionally excluded from the photos. As one would expect from a paintjob with many years on it there are some very small blemishes around that are too tiny so show up in the photos, but nothing that is really noticeable from about five or ten feet away. As one can see in the many photos of the underside, this MR2 is very clean underneath. We have also included specific photos of the rockers, lower front and rear quarter panels, and other areas on the car most prone to rust to show how nice it looks. As once can see in the many photos of underside, this car is very clean underneath.

Interior

The blue interior of the MR2 looks absolutely fantastic. All of the gauge faces are crisp and the lenses are clear. The seats are nice condition and look just as good in person as they do in the photos with just some slight wear in the typical area on the bolster where the drivers gets in and out. The carpet looks great with no stains, rips, or holes. The original door panels look wonderful with no cracks or splits, and both door pulls are solid. The dash is in excellent condition with no cracks or sun fading. This car has never been smoked in; there is no aroma of cigarettes what so ever and no burn marks. The radio works and gets good reception. Most importantly the dash has never been cut or modified for an aftermarket installation. The trunk is very clean. The spare tire and jack are also still with the car stored correctly in the front trunk.

The excellent condition of this interior is a huge testament to the meticulous care and attention this Toyota has received throughout its life and another great verification of the original mileage.

Mechanical

This MR2 appears to be in very nice mechanical condition and it is ready to be enjoyed. The engine starts right away every time, runs well, and idles smooth. It is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. In the video one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 65mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to a stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that it runs great, there are no strange noises or vibrations, and the car performs quite nice overall. The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other. It runs cool and does not overheat. Also, the engine bay is clean, nicely detailed, and correct as one can see from the photos.

Please note in the video the dash warning lights; they light up when the key is first turned on and then go off when the engine is started just as they should. There are no "check engine" lights that stay on. The horn works as do the headlights, brights, turn signals, interior lights, indicators, dash gauges lights, wipers, and even the key buzzer. The blower for the heat and air conditioning works on all speeds. The A/C itself works and blows cold. Both headlights pop up correctly. This is a very fun nimble car and not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive it.

Overall Condition

Overall, this 1987 MR2 is in excellent driver condition and is a true bargain at our asking price. The one-owner history and the beautiful color combination make this MR2 particularly desirable and hard to duplicate; it is very clean with low miles and a clear AutoCheck history with no accidents. It is apparent that the vehicle has been well taken care of by its previous owner. This Toyota is a great value and will only appreciate over time. Someone could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal effort.
