Seven Hills Motorcars is tremendously proud to offer this absolutely stunning and original numbers matching 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo in spectacular condition. This Monte Carlo is in amazing shape; it looks beautiful with stunning paint, runs great, drives awesome, and everything on the car works properly. This survivor Monte Carlo is a time capsule and an investment grade classic. The car has great lines and is totally solid; one can even see how clean the car is underneath in the many photos of the car on a lift. This is an excellent opportunity to own an exceptional Monte Carlo that is ready to be used and enjoyed at an unbeatable value.

I have personally driven this car about 20 miles in the past month. During that time that car was totally reliable, has absolutely no issues, and was a true pleasure to drive.

The car comes with a wealth of service records. There are dozens of receipts for service, maintenance, and restoration work over the years. There is a receipt for $8,500 for the when the car was professionally repainted, the paint on the car looks awesome. There is also a receipt for machine work when the engine was rebuilt. The receipts total over $16,000 so this car was cared for very well.

This Monte Carlo is "Numbers Matching,” meaning the engine in the car is correct original unit that was installed new at the factory. The last six digits of the VIN, 101975, are stamped on the engine pad. The car is finished in the beautiful and highly desirable color combinations of Gobi Beige over Black. Please peruse all of the photos, numbers, video, and information below to get a true sense of clean, nice, and original this Chevrolet Monte Carlo really is.

Throughout the entire A-Body market right now, this is one of the nicest Monte Carlos available. The 1970 model year is the most desirable and sought after of the first generation Monte Carlos. There is no way this car could be duplicated or restored with this level of quality for anything near our asking price. This Monte Carlo looks great, runs awesome, and is particularly fun to drive. This is an excellent opportunity to own a classic Chevy that is ready to be used and enjoyed at an unbeatable value. One could easily buy this car now and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to come as these A-Body's are appreciating fast and the market on them is very hot right now, especially for such an original example like this car.

As a side note, this Monte Carlo is not a dealer auction vehicle. We hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our classics come from owners who expect their cars to go to someone that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the Chevrolet, just give us a call.

Exterior

The Gobi Beige exterior is in spectacular condition. As one can see in the photos, the paint has an excellent gloss, deep shine, and smooth finish. Both doors open and shut well and feel great when you close them. The chrome and other bright-work on the car looks great overall with no pitting. The authentic chrome Cragar wheels are in excellent condition with a brilliant finish and no curb rash on the beauty rings. The Micky Thompson white letter tires have plenty of tread left. As one can see in the many photos of the underside of the car it is exceptionally clean underneath. We have included specific photos of the lower quarters, rockers, spring perches, and other areas most prone to rust to show how clean this car is.

The Monte Carlo looks just as good in person as it does in the photos.

Interior

The black interior of the Monte Carlo is in utterly splendid condition. The seat look just as great in person as they do in the photos with no split seams, tears, or excessive wear. The seat is not worn in the typical area on the bolster where the driver gets in and out. The gauge faces are clean and crisp and the gauge lenses are crystal clear. The carpet is also in great condition with no stains, rips, or holes. This includes the rear carpet, which is often neglected. The door panels are in great condition with no cracks or splits and the door pulls are solid and in tact. This car features a modern radio that was made specifically for a 1970 Monte Carlo with a vintage look. Most importantly, the dash has never been cut of modified for the installation. The dash looks great with no splits, sun fading, or cracks. The original package tray looks great with no warping, fading, or sun damage. This is one of the best interiors we have ever seen in person in a Monte Carlo and is a true study of how these cars looked from the factory.

The trunk is very clean and nicely detailed. There is a still a spare wheel with the car and the previous owner paid the extra expense to make sure the spare rim is a chrome Cragar to match the rest of the wheels. The decal with the wheel changing instructions is still on the inside of the trunk lid.

Chevrolet interiors from this era are not known to wear well over the years and the spectacular condition of this interior is a huge testament to the meticulous care this care has received throughout its life.

The interior looks just as good in person as it does in the photos.

Mechanical

This Monte Carlo is in excellent mechanical condition and it is ready to be enjoyed. As stated above, I have put about 20 miles on this car recently with absolutely no problems and it performed great. The car starts right away every time, runs well, and idles smooth. This Monte Carlo is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. In the video below one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there are no strange noises or vibrations and the car performs quite well overall. The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other. The transmission shifts smoothly throughout the power band. The car runs cool and does not overheat. This Monte Carlo has plenty of power. The original engine has been rebuilt and there is a receipt proving that fact included with the car. The engine was bored .030 over and received a mild cam that gives the car a nice and very mild lope. Also, the engine compartment is beautifully clean and highly detailed as one can see in the photos.

Everything on this car works properly and it is ready to be driven and enjoyed. The horn works as do all the exterior lights, interior lights, wipers, the blower for the heater and a/c on all speeds. The a/c itself also works and blows cold. One can see the a/c compressor clicking on and engaging properly in the video. All of the gauges work and the clock runs sporadically. All of the warning lights work properly, they go on with the ignition key and then go off as they should when the engine is started. The car has very healthy exhaust note as one can hear in the video. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car.

This Monte Carlo runs and drives as well as it looks.

Overall Condition

Overall, this 1970 Monte Carlo is in amazing condition. This car is particularly rare and extra desirable with the original numbers matching engine, and beautiful paint and color scheme. Unmolested examples of the first-generation Monte Carlos are hard to find and draw a huge premium in the current market. Numbers matching and originality is extremely important in Chevrolet pricing and as one can see this car is very original and correct. Cars like this are the Barrett Jackson stars of the future.

The excellent condition, the documentation, the desirable options, and the originality make this Monte Carlo especially important and difficult to duplicate. The previous owner told us the mileage was original and we also believe the mileage to be original but the title is marked as nonactual. This Monte Carlo always gets a ton of attention driving down the road. It is very apparent that the vehicle has been well taken care of by its previous owners. The prices of first-generation Monte Carlos have increased drastically over the past years, especially for premium examples like this car. They are secure and wise investments for a collector. One could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal effort.

Other sellers are not taking the time to show the car is in such great detail to give you all of the numbers, options, photos, and video. As stated above, numbers matching is extremely important in Chevrolet pricing and will become even more important as time passes and this car becomes older and even more rare. This information is very valuable and important for pricing. Any perspective buyer, for any of our vehicles or from other sellers, should ask for all the numbers and information before he or she makes a purchase.

Thank you for looking and please do not hesitate to email or call with any questions.
