Please call Matt directly at 513-708-1468 with any questions about this car.

Seven Hills Motorcars is very proud to offer this completely numbers matching 1975 Corvette Stingray Convertible in beautiful condition and with both the soft-top and auxiliary hardtop and only 74,370 original miles. This Corvette looks great, runs well, and is an excellent driver. The car is totally solid with excellent lines and no rust issues. The car is finished in the beautiful and highly desirable color combination of Medium Saddle (67) over Medium Saddle (65). This iconic color combination is truly striking and looks great on this Corvette shark body style. This is also the correct and original color scheme as verified by the codes on the trim tag pictured in this ad.

I have personally put about 20 miles on this Stingray. During that time the car was completely reliable and pleasure to drive with no issues. Besides the convertible body style this Corvette is loaded with highly desirable options such as air conditioning, power windows, power brakes, power steering, tilt/telescopic steering column, rear defroster, and factory AM/FM Stereo radio. The original owner's manual is also included with the car.

Besides the correct paint and trim codes this Corvette is completely "Numbers Matching" and virtually every part we checked on the car is correct with the proper part numbers and appropriate date codes. We have run the numbers on literally hundreds of Corvettes over the years and there are very few that are so correct and original. Even very detailed parts like the carburetor, distributor, intake manifold, the exhaust manifolds, and even all the windows and glass are all date coded, correct, and original. The last six digits of the VIN, 421487, are stamped on the engine pad, which is pictured in this ad, and the engine is original to the car. The transmission is also original with the last six digits of the VIN stamped on the main case.

We have this car priced to sell and are offering an excellent opportunity to own a very desirable Corvette Stingray convertible at an unbeatable value. The 1975 model year has always been special for Corvette convertibles as it was the last year the body style was offered with the C3 generation. Of the 38,465 Corvettes made in 1975 only 4,629 were convertibles and of those only 2,407 came with a painted auxiliary hardtop. The convertible body style draws a great premium over the standard coupe body style. One could easily buy this car now and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to come as the market on C3 Corvettes is absolutely red-hot right now and on the rise. The low mileage is verified not only by the condition of the car, but also the clear Ohio title which shows the mileage as “Actual.” Please peruse all of the photos, video, list of numbers, and other information to get a true sense of how nice this Corvette really is.

As a side note, this Corvette is not a dealer auction vehicle. We hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our Corvettes come from owners who expect their car to go to someone that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the Corvette, just give us a call.

Exterior

The Medium Saddle (67) exterior is in good driver condition. As one can see in the photos, the finish has nice gloss and smooth finish. The rally wheels and center caps are in fantastic condition with a brilliant finish and no curb rash. Please note that this car still has the original 4-clip style beauty rings, not the cheaper foreign made replacements. The raised white letter tires are literary brand new with less than 20 miles on them and are correctly sized 225/70R15. The soft top is in terrific condition and almost looks like new with no rips, holes, or frayed edges. The rear window is perfectly clear and not foggy, cloudy, or yellowed. There are no major blemishes that have been intentionally excluded from the photos. There are some tiny imperfections around car and on the right rear that were too faint to show up in pictures, but nothing else that is really noticeable from about five or ten feet away. As one can see in the many photos of the underside this car is very clean underneath and has no rust issues. The frame is totally solid around the "key hole" area in front of the rear tire and we have seen no evidence of corrosion around the windshield or “birdcage” area, which is the most common spots for rust on a C3 Corvette. We have included specific photos of the areas most prone to rust to show how nice this car looks.

Window Date Codes

Please note that ALL of the glass on this Corvette, both door windows, the windshield, and even the hardtop window are all date coded and original as each piece predates the car's body build date of April 3, 1975 (G03). Original glass is a good indication that this car has had no major accident history and never sustained significant damage.

Interior

The Saddle (65) interior of the Corvette is in outstanding condition. The seats are in excellent shape and look in person just as they do in the photos with no tears, holes or split seems. The seats are not overly worn in the typical area on the bolster where the driver gets in and out. The gauge faces are clean and crisp and the lenses are clear. The carpet is also in excellent condition with no stains, rips, or holes. This includes the rear carpet, which is often neglected. The original stereo radio is still in the car, works well, and gets good reception. Most importantly the dash has never been cut or modified for an aftermarket installation. The door panels are in great shape overall. The dash and console are in nice shape with no cracks, fading, or sun damage. Please note that both seat belts work and retract properly. This is a common problem on C3 Corvettes and an issue many buyers do not think to check. The jack and jack handle are still with the car, stored correctly behind in the compartment behind the passenger seat. The spare is also still with the car. This Corvette has never been smoked in; there are no burns marks and no aroma of cigarettes.

Corvette interiors from this era are not known to wear well, especially for a convertible, and the excellent condition of this interior is a huge testament to the meticulous care and attention this car has received throughout its life and another great verification of the low original mileage.

Mechanical

This Corvette seems to be in good mechanical condition. As stated above I have driven this car 20 miles with no issues at all. The original numbers matching L48 engine starts right away every time, runs well, and idles smooth. The car drives great and feels nice on the road and at highway speeds. In the video below one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there are no strange noises or vibrations and the car performs quite well overall. The transmission shifts well throughout the power band. The car runs cool and does not overheat. There is no blue smoke when starting or driving the car. Also, the engine compartment is beautifully clean, detailed, and correct as one can see in the photos. Even the original ignition shielding, air cleaner, valve covers, and catalytic converter are all still in place.

The original radio works as do all the exterior lights, interior lights, dash lights, horn, and wipers. The blower for the heater and air conditioning works on all speeds. Even detailed items like the “Door Ajar” light and key buzzer still work. The entire vacuum system for the headlights and wiper door works correctly. Please note that the vacuum system works properly from both the respective switches on the dash and the override switches. The entire operation from both switches can be viewed in the video. All of the gauges work with the obvious exception of the clock. The air conditioning does not blow cold so it may need a shot of freon. The temperature control wheel is a bit sticky. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car, especially with the top down on a beautiful day.

Overall Condition

Overall, this 1975 Corvette Stingray Convertible looks fantastic and is in excellent condition. The hardtop is valuable by itself and definitely adds appeal to this Stingray. The low original miles, beautiful color combination, originality, fantastic condition, and the great extent to which the numbers match make this Stingray especially important and very hard to duplicate. Numbers matching is extremely important in Corvette pricing, especially for a rare and particularly desirable models like this convertible, and as one can see, this car is quite correct. There are photos of the VIN stamp on the engine block, suffix code, and engine assembly date. The convertible Stingray models always draw a great premium over the standard coupe counterparts. The value of these cars has gone up exponentially in recent years. They are all solid investments for a collector. One could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal effort.

Other sellers are not taking the time to show the car is in such great detail to give you all of the numbers, options, photos, and video. As stated above, numbers matching is extremely important in Corvette pricing, especially for an exceptional example like this car, and will become even more important as time passes and this car becomes older and even more rare. This information is very valuable and important for pricing. Any perspective buyer, for any of our vehicles or from other sellers, should ask for all the numbers and information before he or she makes a purchase.

Thank you for looking and please do not hesitate to email or call with any questions.
