Please call Matt directly at 513-708-1468 with any questions about this car.

Seven Hills Motorcars is very proud to offer this beautiful completely numbers matching NCRS Top Flight 1971 Corvette Stingray Coupe in spectacular condition. This car was completely restored in 2012 and received and NCRS Top Flight award, which is one of the most prestigious honors for any Corvette. The NCRS Top Flight certificate and the judging sheets are also included and pictured in this ad. The car is finished in the beautiful and rare color combination of Nevada Silver (905) over Black Vinyl (400). This excellent color combination is one of the most desirable, truly striking, and looks great on this Corvette shark body style. Nevada Silver is a one-year color only available in 1971. It is also tied with Sunflower Yellow as the most rare color for the 1971 model year as only 1,177 Corvettes were made in Nevada Silver. This is also the correct and original color scheme as verified by the codes on the trim tag. The car is loaded with great options such as air conditioning, power brakes, power steering, and tilt/telescopic steering column.

We have driven this car over 20 miles since we purchased it. During that time it was completely reliable, a true pleasure to drive, and had no issues at all.

Besides the correct paint and trim codes, this Corvette is completely "Numbers Matching" meaning the engine and transmission in the car are the correct and original units that were installed in the car new at the factory in 1971. Virtually every part we checked on the car is correct with the proper part numbers and appropriate date codes. We have run the numbers on literally hundreds of Corvettes over the years and there are very few that are so correct and original. Even very detailed parts like the distributor, carburetor, exhaust manifolds, alternator, and starter are all date coded and original. The last six digits of the VIN, 119244, are stamped on the engine pad and pictured in this ad and the engine is original to the car. The transmission is also original with the last six digits of the VIN stamped on the main case and pictured.

We have this car priced to sell and are offering an excellent opportunity to own a very desirable NCRS Top Flight Corvette Stingray coupe at an unbeatable value. The Top Flight awards makes this Stingray draw a huge premium over a one that is simply restored and puts this car in a different league. One could easily buy this car now and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to come as the market on C3 "chrome bumper" Corvettes from 1968 to 1972 is absolutely red-hot right now and on the rise. Please peruse all of the photos, video, the very extensive list of numbers, and other information below to get a true sense of how nice this Corvette really is.

As a side note, this Corvette is not a dealer auction vehicle. We hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our Corvettes come from owners who expect their car to go to someone that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the Corvette, just give us a call.

Exterior

The Nevada Silver (905) exterior is in excellent condition. As one can see in the photos, the finish has dazzling gloss and deep shine. The rally wheels are in excellent condition with a brilliant finish and no curb rash. Please note that this car the correct 4-clip original style beauty rings, not the foreign made aftermarket replacements The Firestone Wide Oval raised white letter tires are almost brand new with less than a couple hundred miles on them and are correctly sized F70x15. Please note that these are original style bias ply tires so they will not drive like modern radials. The chrome looks great as one can see in the photos with no cloudiness or pitting. There are no major blemishes that have been intentionally excluded from the photos. There is a hairline crack by the left front wheel lip and by the and a few tiny imperfections around car that were too faint to show up in pictures, but nothing else that is really noticeable from about five feet away. As one can see in the many photos of the underside this car is very clean underneath. There are a couple kinks in the frame and some evidence of repair visible in the photos. We have included specific photos of the areas most prone to rust to show how this car looks. The bottom of the car is exceptionally clean and correct with appropriate grease pencil markings; the car looks nearly as good underneath as it is on top. Please note that even very detailed items like the paper tags on the coils springs and master cylinder are correct and still in place.

Interior

The Black Vinyl (400) interior of the Corvette is in outstanding condition. The gauge faces are crisp and clean and the lenses are clear. The door panels are in fantastic shape and not worn or cracked in the typical area where the driver's elbow sits. The dash and console are in excellent condition with no cracks, fading, or sun damage. Both shoulder belts work and retract properly. This is a common problem on C3 Corvettes and an issue many buyers do not think to check. The seats look just in person as they do in the photos with no rips or split seams, but there is a small hole on the left side of the driver's seatback. The carpet looks like new with no stains, rips or holes. This includes the rear carpet, which is often neglected. The original radio is still in the car and most importantly the dash has never been cut or modified for an aftermarket installation. The jack and jack handle are still with the car, stored correctly in the storage compartment behind the passenger seat. The spare is also still with the car. This Corvette has never been smoked in; there are no burns marks and no aroma of cigarettes.

Mechanical

This Corvette seems to be in great mechanical condition. As stated above we have driven the car over 20 miles with no problems. The previous owner told us that when he did the restoration the mechanics and entire driveline were also rebuilt. He said the engine was rebuilt and bore .0010 over, the original transmission was rebuilt, as was the rear differential. The original numbers matching engine starts right away every time, runs well, and idles smooth. The car drives great and feels nice on the road and at highway speeds. In the video below one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there are no strange noises or vibrations and the car performs quite well overall. The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other. The transmission shifts smoothly throughout the power band. The car runs cool and does not overheat. Also, the engine compartment looks absolutely spectacular. It is beautifully clean, highly detailed, and totally correct as one can see in the photos. Please note that the engine was done to NCRS Top Flight standards so even items like all of the hoses and vacuum lines are correct with the appropriate colored striping, logos, and markings. We also included photos of the engine with the air cleaner off to show how great it looks under the hood.

The horn works as do all the exterior lights, interior lights, dash lights, and wipers. All of the gauges work and even the clock runs. The “Seat Belt” light works and even the “Head Lamps” light on the dash works. The “Head Lamps” light goes on properly when the headlights are first turned on and goes off as it should when the headlight rise up. Even the light inside the center storage compartments works. The keys for this car are correct. The rectangular key operates the ignition and door locks and the oval key properly works the rear storage compartment lock. The key buzzer is always on with the driver's door open. The entire vacuum system for the headlights and wiper door works correctly. Please note that the vacuum system works properly from both the respective switches on the dash and the override switches. The entire operation from both switches can be viewed in the video. The a/c and blower for the heater and a/c do not work. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car, especially with the T-Tops out on a beautiful day.

Overall Condition

Overall, this 1971 Corvette Stingray Coupe looks fantastic and is in excellent driver condition. The NCRS Tops Flight award, the beautiful and rare color combination, and the great extent to which the numbers match make this Stingray especially important and very hard to duplicate. Numbers matching is extremely important in Corvette pricing and, as one can see, this car is quite correct. There are photos of the VIN stamp on the engine block, suffix code, engine assembly date, transmission VIN stamp, and transmission date code. In my opinion and based on our experience the "Chrome Bumper" cars from 1968-1972 are the most collectible and hottest in the entire Corvette market right now. The value of these cars has gone up exponentially in recent years. They are all solid investments for a collector. One could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal effort.

Other sellers are not taking the time to show the car is in such great detail to give you all of the numbers, options, photos, and video. As stated above, numbers matching is extremely important in Corvette pricing, especially for an exceptional example like this car, and will become even more important as time passes and this car becomes older and even more rare. This information is very valuable and important for pricing. Any perspective buyer, for any of our vehicles or from other sellers, should ask for all the numbers and information before he or she makes a purchase

Thank you for looking and please do not hesitate to email or call with any questions.
