….

Please call Greg directly at 513-200-9226 with any questions about this car.

Seven Hills Motorcars is proud to offer this beautiful 1989 Ford Mustang LX Convertible in excellent condition with only 43,165 original miles. This Mustang looks fantastic, runs well, and is an excellent driver. The Light Grey Smoke (1K) paint over Smoke Grey (PG) interior is a beautiful color combination that looks great on the car. It is also the correct and original color scheme as verified by the codes on the data sticker tag, which is pictured in this ad. According to StangNet there were only 434 Convertibles made in Light Grey Smoke for 1989 out of the over 200,000 Mustangs produced so this color is very rare. This is an excellent opportunity to own a classic Mustang LX with very low miles that is ready to be used and enjoyed at an unbeatable value. One could easily buy this car now and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to come as the market on the Fox body Mustangs is very strong right now and on the rise. The low original mileage is verified not only by the condition of the car, but also the clear Ohio title, pictured in this ad, showing the mileage as "Actual." Please peruse all of the photos, the list of codes, video, and information to get a true sense of how nice, clean, and original this Mustang LX Convertible really is.

There is a copy of the AutoCheck report in this ad. The report shows no accident history and verifies the very low original mileage. We have recently driven this Mustang over 170 miles. During that time it was completely reliable, had no issues, and was a true pleasure to drive.

As a side note, this Ford Mustang is not a dealer auction vehicle. We hand-pick each car after careful inspection. Our classics come from owners who expect their car to go to someone that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the Mustang, just give us a call.

Exterior

The Light Grey Smoke (1K) exterior is in outstanding condition. As one can see in the photos the finish has a terrific gloss, deep shine, and smooth finish. The convertible top is in great condition with no rips, holes, or frayed edges. The moldings/trim throughout are in amazing shape and do not show their age like most Fox bodies. The wheels are in excellent condition with a brilliant finish and no curb rash. Please note that these are not aftermarket wheels, these are the original OEM wheels. The tires have about 95% tread left and are correctly sized 225/60R15. This Mustang is totally solid and has absolutely no rust issues. As one can see in the many photos of the underside, this car is exceptionally clean underneath. We have included specific photos of the rear spring mounts, rockers, lower quarter panels, and the area's most prone to rust to show how nice this car looks.

Interior

The Smoke Grey (PG) interior in this Mustang is in spectacular condition. The gauge faces are crisp and clean and the lenses are crystal clear. The seats are in great shape with no holes, split seams, or excessive wear. The seat is no overly worn in the typical area on the bolster where the driver gets in and out. The carpet is also in great condition with no holes or tears. The door panels are in excellent shape and the door pulls are solid and intact. The dash and console are in great condition with no cracks, fading, or sun damage. The radio sounds nice and gets good reception. Please note that the original radio is still with the car and is also included. This Mustang has never been smoked in; there are no burn marks and no aroma of cigarettes.

The trunk is clean and nicely detailed. It is also totally complete with the jack and jack handle, the original space saver spare that has never been used, convertible top boot, and top boot storage bag. We were unable to get the top boot to stretch over the top when it was down.

Mustang interiors from this era are not known to wear well, especially for a convertible, and the excellent condition of this interior is a huge testament to the meticulous care and attention this car has received throughout its life,

Mechanical

This Mustang seems to be in very good mechanical condition. As stated above we have recently driven this car over 170 miles with no problems at all. The car starts right away every time, runs well, and idles smoothly. It drives great and feels nice on the road and at highway speeds. In the video in this ad one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there are no strange noises or vibrations and the car performs quite well overall. The brakes do not pull to one side or the other. The transmission shifts smoothly throughout the power band. There is no blue smoke when starting or driving the car. The car runs cool and does not overheat. Also, the engine compartment is beautifully clean, detailed, and correct as one can see in the photos.

The horn works as do all the exterior lights, interior lights, dash lights, wipers, power windows, and power locks. All of the gauges work. The blower for the heater and a/c works on all speeds. The air conditioning itself also works and blows cold. One can observe the a/c compressor clicking on and engaging properly in the video. The previous owner said that the air conditioning system was recently serviced and converted to the more modern r134a style refrigerant. The power convertible top also works well with no effort or binding in the mechanism. The complete operation of the top raising and lowering can be viewed in the video. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car, especially with the top down on a beautiful day.

Also, for any 1989 Mustang you may look at, be sure to verify that the "check engine" and other dash warning lights are working correctly. The check engine light should go on when the key is turned on as a confirmation that the light is working, then quickly go off when the car is started. A great number of Mustangs from this era have had the warning light bulbs removed to mask other problems. As one can observe in the video the "check engine" light and other warning lights on this car operates just as it should, going on with the car as a check and then going off when started.

Overall Condition

Overall, this 1989 Mustang LX is in magnificent condition. We believe this could be one of the nicest LX convertibles on the market currently. The low miles, the beautiful and rare original color combination, and the excellent overall condition and color combo make this car especially important and hard to duplicate. It is very hard to find a Mustang LX from this era that is still in great original, unmolested, unmodified condition with low mileage as most were used and abused. This Mustang always gets a ton of attention driving down the road. It is apparent that the vehicle has been well taken care of by its previous owners. The prices of Fox body Mustangs increased considerably over the past several years. They are secure and wise investments for a collector. Cars like this are the Barrett Jackson stars of the future. One could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal effort.

Thank you for looking and please do not hesitate to email or call with any questions.
