Seven Hills Motorcars is proud to offer this beautiful 1987 Ford Mustang GT Convertible in excellent condition with the highly desirable 5-speed manual transmission. This Mustang looks fantastic, runs well, and is an excellent driver. The Black (1C) over Sand Beige (Y) interior is a beautiful and very rare color combination that looks great on the car. It is also the correct and original color scheme as verified by the codes on the door tag, which is pictured in this ad. This is an excellent opportunity to own a classic Mustang GT that is ready to be used and enjoyed at an unbeatable value. One could easily buy this car now and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to come as the market on the Fox body Mustangs is strong right now and on the rise. There is a copy of the AutoCheck vehicle history report in this ad. The report shows no accidents. Please peruse all of the photos, video, and information to get a true sense of how nice, clean, and original this Mustang GT Convertible really is.

As a side note, this Ford Mustang is not a dealer auction vehicle. We hand-pick each car after careful inspection. Our classics come from owners who expect their car to go to someone that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the Mustang, just give us a call.

Exterior

The Black (1C) exterior is in wonderful driver condition. As one can see in the photos the finish has a terrific gloss, deep shine, and smooth finish. The convertible top is in excellent condition with no rips, holes, or frayed edges. Please note that is still has the correct glass rear window, not the cheaper aftermarket plastic window. The original Hurricane wheels are in nice condition with no curb rash. The tires are correctly sized 225/60R15 and have 90% tread left. There are no major blemishes that have been intentionally excluded from the photos. There may be some very tiny imperfections that were too small to show up in the pictures, but nothing that is really noticeable from about five or ten feet away. This Mustang has no rust issues. As one can see in the many photos of the underside of the car, it is very clean underneath. We have included specific photos of the rear spring mounts, rockers, lower quarter panels, and the area's most prone to rust to show how nice this car looks.

Interior

The Sand Beige (Y) interior in this Mustang is in absolutely stunning condition. Sand Beige is a very rare interior color on Fox Body Mustangs. The seats look just as great in person as they in the photos with no split seam, rips, or excessive wear. The seat is not overly worn on the bolster where the driver gets in and out. The carpet is also in great condition with no stains, holes, or tears. The gauge faces are crisp and clean and the lenses are crystal clear. The door panels are in excellent shape and the door pulls are solid and intact. The convertible top boot is included with the car, but we have not been able to get it snapped on. The dash and console are in great condition with no cracks, fading, or sun damage. This Mustang has never been smoked in; there are no burn marks and no aroma of cigarettes.

The truck is clean, complete, and nicely detailed. The jack and jack handle are still with the car, stored properly under the trunk cover. The original space saver spare is also still with the car.

Mustang interiors from this era are not known to wear well, and the excellent condition of this interior is a huge testament to the meticulous care and attention this car has received throughout its life, and another sign of low original mileage.

Mechanical

This Mustang seems to be in very good mechanical condition. The 5.0 engine starts right away every time, runs well, and idles smooth. It drives great and feels nice on the road and at highway speeds. In the video in this ad one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there are no vibrations or strange noises and the car performs quite well overall. The brakes do not pull to one side or the other. The shifter is tight and does not pop out of gear. The clutch feels nice. There is no blue smoke when starting or driving the car. The car runs cool and does not overheat. Also, the engine compartment is beautifully clean, detailed, and correct as one can see in the photos. The original catalytic converter and distributor cover at still on the car.

The wipers work as do the exterior lights, fog lights, interior lights, wipers, power windows, and power locks. All of the gauges work. The blower for the heater and a/c works on all speeds. There are no "check engine" or other warning lights that stay on. The power convertible top also works well with no effort or binding in the mechanism. The air conditioning does not blow cold and the horn does not work. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car, especially with the manual transmission and the top down on a beautiful day.

Overall Condition

Overall, this 1987 Mustang GT is in magnificent driver condition. The 5-speed manual transmission, low miles, the beautiful and rare original color combination, and the excellent overall condition make this car especially important and hard to duplicate. It is very hard to find a Mustang GT from this era that is still in great original condition as most were used and abused. While we and the previous dealer believe this car to have actual mileage, the title, which is pictured in this ad, shows nonactual. This Mustang always gets a ton of attention driving down the road. It is apparent that the vehicle has been well taken care of by its previous owners. The prices of Fox body Mustangs increased considerably over the past several years. They are secure and wise investments for a collector. Cars like this are the Barrett Jackson stars of the future. One could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal effort.
