The market on 4th generation Super Sports is very hot right now; especially for the 6-speed examples, which draw great premium over the automatics. This Camaro looks fantastic, runs awesome, and it is a true thrill to drive. This Camaro is extremely rare being only one of only 599 SS hardtop coupes made for 1999 according to some research online and much fewer 6-speed hardtops.

There is a copy of the AutoCheck report in this ad. The report shows no accident history and verifies the very low original mileage. The car comes with all the original books, manuals, window sticker, and the original car cover in the original silver “Camaro SS” bag.

This SS is finished in the beautiful and highly desirable color combination of Sunset Sebring Silver Metallic (13) over Dark Gray Leather (142) interior. This is also the correct and original color scheme as verified by the codes on the service sticker pictured in this ad. Please notice the "WU8" RPO code, also on the data sticker, which verifies that this Camaro is an original and true Super Sport. The low original mileage is verified not only by the condition of the car, but also the clear Ohio title showing the mileage as "Actual." Please peruse all of the photos, video, the extensive list of option codes, and other information to get a true sense of clean and spectacular this SS really is.

According to the previous owner, this Camaro was sold new in California in 1999. He owned the car for almost 20 years until he gave it to his grandson in Kentucky and then we purchased the car.

Exterior

The Sebring Metallic (13) exterior is in excellent driver condition. As one can see in the photos, the paint has an excellent gloss, deep shine, and smooth finish. The original SS wheels are in good condition. The BF Goodrich G-Force Comp 2 tires have plenty of tread left and are correctly sized 275/40ZR17. There are no major blemishes that have been intentionally excluded from the photos. There is a small spot on the bottom of the hood, a blemish on the right front fender that is visible in the photos, some plastic checking on the left front fender, and some other very tiny imperfections that were too tiny to show up in the photos, but nothing else that is really noticeable from five or ten feet away. The underside of the car is clean and this Camaro has no rust issues. Being from dry western state, this car probably never was subjected to harsh winters or salty roads.

Interior

The Dark Gray Leather (142) interior in this Super Sport looks outstanding. The seats look just as good in person as they do in the photos with no tears, rips, or excessive wear. The driver's seat is not overly worn in the typical spot on the bolster of the driver's seat where the driver gets in and out; just a small amount of expected wear there. The carpet also looks great with no major stains, tears, or holes. The gauge faces are crisp and clean and the lenses are crystal clear. The dash and console are in great shape with no cracks, fading, or sun damage. The door panels look excellent. This car has never been smoked in; there are no burn marks and no aroma of cigarettes what-so-ever. Camaro interiors from this time period are not known to wear well and the excellent condition of this all original interior is a huge testament to the detailed care and attention this SS has received throughout its life.

The trunk is complete with the space saver spare, jack, and SS car cover.

Mechanical

This Camaro SS seems to be in great mechanical condition. It is an amazing driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. The car starts right away every time, idles smooth, and runs well. In the video in this ad one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there are no strange noises or vibrations and the Camaro performs quite well overall. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It runs cool and does not overheat. The shifter is tight, does not pop out of gear, and the clutch feels great. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos.

This Camaro SS is ready to be driven and enjoyed. The horn works as do the indicators, exterior lights, interior lights, wipers, power seats in all directions, and blower for the heater and a/c on all speeds. All of the gauges work. Please note in the video that all of the warning lights work properly. They light up when the key is first turned on and then go off when the engine is started. There are no "check engine" or other warning lights that stay on. This Camaro SS has a ton of power and handles like it is on rails. The air conditioning does not blow cold. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this vehicle, especially with 6-Speed manual transmission.

Overall Condition

Overall, this 1999 Camaro Z28 Super Sport (SS) is in excellent condition and a great value at our asking price. The market on for the fourth generation Camaro SS is very strong right now, particularly for 6-speed cars. It is especially strong for correct, original, and low mileage examples like this car. This car turns heads and gets tons of attention wherever it goes. Cars like this are the Barrett Jackson stars of the future. Someone could easily enjoy this Super Sport Camaro for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price in the years to come with minimal effort.
