Seven Hills Motorcars is proud to offer this beautiful 2000 Ford Excursion in original condition with only 247,588 original miles. This truck looks great, runs great, and is ready to tow. The 2-Tone Oxford White/Arizona Beige over Medium Parchment interior is a beautiful color combination that looks great on the truck. It is also the correct and original color scheme as verified by the codes on the tag, which is pictured in this ad. This is an excellent opportunity to own a classic 7.3L Excursion that is ready to be used and enjoyed at an unbeatable value. The market for these trucks is hot. One could easily buy this truck now and use it for many years to come. The original mileage is verified not only by the condition of the truck, but also the clear Ohio title showing the mileage as "Actual." Please peruse all of the photos, video, and information to get a true sense of how this Excursion really is.
This specific Excursion is equipped with the Limited trim package, which is the highest trim the Excursion was offered in. The Limited trim adds the power driver's seat, illuminated running boards, rear audio control, leather seats, heated front seats, 16” alloy wheels, and much more. All other options in the lower trims are standard on the limited, making this excursion loaded with options.
This Excursion also has the very sought after 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel Engine. This engine, as long as it's been maintained, is known to make it past the 500,000 mile mark with little to no issues. Although this truck has 247,000 miles, that's just the beginning for an Excursion. With around 275hp and roughly 525ft/lb of torque, this diesel V8 is ready for anything you can throw at it. Ford enthusiasts all over love this engine because of its reliability, and great power.
As a side note, this Excursion is not a dealer auction vehicle. We hand-pick each car after careful inspection. Our classics come from owners who expect their car to go to someone that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the truck, just give us a call.
Exterior
The 2-Tone exterior is in good driver condition. As one can see in the photos the finish has a good gloss, deep shine, and smooth finish. The chrome is in good condition with a great finish. The moldings/trim throughout don't show their age like most Excursions. The aftermarket moto wheels have a nice finish with some pitting in the barrel areas. The Sunfire Mont-Pro all terrain tires have plenty of tread and are sized 265/70R17. There are no major imperfections that have been intentionally excluded from the photos. The frame is solid. As one can see in the many photos of the door jambs, it does have the common rust in the rocker area. We have included specific photos of the area's most prone to rust to show the true condition of this excursion.
Interior
The Arizona Beige interior in this Excursion is in driver condition. The gauge faces are crisp and clean and the lenses are crystal clear. The front seats show their age which is common for this chassis. The carpet is also in great condition with no holes, tears, or stains. The truck still has its original floor mats, which also look nice. The door panels are in excellent shape and the door pulls are solid and intact. The dash and console are in great condition with no fading, or sun damage. The original radio gets good reception. An aftermarket trailer brake controller has been added to the bottom of the dash in the center. The rear seats and 3rd row are in good shape with no major wear/issues. The jack and jack handle are still with the truck. The original spare is still with the truck and has never been used.
Ford interiors from this era are not known to wear well, and the good overall condition of this interior is another great verification of care and attention this truck has received throughout its life.
Mechanical
This Excursion seems to be in great mechanical condition. The 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel engine is notoriously known for being very reliable and can stand the test of time well. The truck starts right away every time, runs well, and idles smoothly. An aftermarket high capacity starter has been installed, you can observe how fast the engine cranks in the video. It drives great and feels nice on the road and at highway speeds. In the video in this ad one can observe the truck accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there are no vibrations and the truck performs quite well overall. The brakes do not pull to one side or the other. The transmission shifts smoothly throughout the power band. There is no blue/white smoke when starting or driving the truck. The truck runs cool and does not overheat. The second owner added “helper bags” to the rear of the truck to help with towing. There are valve stems by the rear license plate so you can adjust the psi of the air bags accordingly.
Please note in the video the dash warning lights; they light up when the key is first turned on as a check and then go off when the engine is started just as they should. There are no "check engine" lights that stay on. The horn works as do all the exterior lights, interior lights, wipers, and power windows. All of the gauges work. The blower for the heater and a/c works on all speeds. The air conditioning itself also works and blows cold. The power locks currently don't currently work, but 4 new actuators are included in the sale. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this Excursion, especially with the windows down on a beautiful day.
Overall Condition
Overall, this 2000 Excursion is in good driver condition. Most Excursions were run into the ground and neglected. The beautiful original color combination, the good overall condition, and the many options make this truck especially important and hard to duplicate. It is very hard to find a nice Excursion for a reasonable price in today's market. The prices of Ford Excursions, especially ones equipped with the 7.3L have increased considerably over the past several years. Although this truck isn't perfect, a little TLC and this Excursion could be a very nice example that would be worth more in the many years to come.
