Seven Hills Motorcars is tremendously proud to offer this stunning 1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo in spectacular condition with 77,365 Miles and a 454ci big block engine. This Monte Carlo is in amazing shape; it runs great, drives awesome, and looks spectacular in triple black look. The car has great lines and is totally solid; one can even see how clean the car is underneath in the many photos of the car on a lift. This is an excellent opportunity to own an exceptional Monte Carlo that is ready to be used and enjoyed at an unbeatable value.

We've driven this car about 50 miles in the past month. During that time that car was totally reliable, had absolutely no issues, and was a true pleasure to drive. The car comes with three original build sheets that are pictured in this ad.

Throughout the entire A-Body market right now, this is one of the nicer Monte Carlos available, especially with the big block engine. The 1971 model year is desirable and sought after out of the first generation Monte Carlos. This car would be hard to duplicate for anything near our asking price. This Monte Carlo looks great, runs awesome, and is particularly fun to drive. This is an excellent opportunity to own a classic Chevy that is ready to be used and enjoyed at an unbeatable value. One could easily buy this car now and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to come as these A-Body's are appreciating fast and the market on them is very hot right now, especially for such an nice example like this car. The low mileage is verified not only by the condition of the car, but also the clear Ohio title, pictured in this ad, the shows the mileage as “Actual.”

As a side note, this Monte Carlo is not a dealer auction vehicle. We hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our classics come from owners who expect their cars to go to someone that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the Chevrolet, just give us a call.

Exterior

The Black exterior is in very nice driver condition. As one can see in the photos, the paint has a great gloss, deep shine, and smooth finish. Both doors open and shut well and feel great when you close them. The chrome and other bright-work on the car looks great overall with no pitting. The Eagle alloy wheels are in excellent condition with a brilliant finish and no curb rash. The Cooper Cobra white letter tires are literally brand new with less than 20 miles on them. There are no major blemishes that have been intentionally excluded from the photos. There are some areas on the hood visible at certain angles and some other small spots and imperfections that were too faint to show in in the photos, but nothing that is really noticeable from about five or ten feet away. As one can see in the many photos of the underside of the car it is exceptionally clean underneath. We have included specific photos of the lower quarters, rockers, spring perches, and other areas most prone to rust to show how clean this car is.

Window Date Codes

Please note that almost all of the glass on this Chevy is date coded and original as each piece predates the car's body build date of 09B, which is the second week of September, 1970. Original glass is a good indication that this car has had no major accident history and never sustained significant damage.

Driver's Front Window – UT – The “U” is July and the “T” is 1970 so this window is original made in July of 1970 and correct as it predates the build date of the car.

Driver's Rear Window – UT – The “U” is July and the “T” is 1970 so this window is original made in July of 1970 and correct as it predates the build date of the car.

Passenger Front Window – TT – The first “T” is August and the second “T” is 1970 so this window is original made in August of 1970 and correct as it predates the build date of the car.

Passenger Rear Window – TT – The first “T” is August and the second “T” is 1970 so this window is original made in August of 1970 and correct as it predates the build date of the car.

Rear Window – CT – The first “T” is August and the second “T” is 1970 so this window is original made in August of 1970 and correct as it predates the build date of the car.

Interior

The black interior of the Monte Carlo is in utterly splendid condition. The seats look just as great in person as they do in the photos with no split seams, tears, or excessive wear. The seat is not worn in the typical area on the bolster where the driver gets in and out. The gauge faces are crisp and clean and the gauge lenses are crystal clear. The woodgrain looks nice with no delamination. The carpet is also in great condition with no stains, rips, or holes. This includes the rear carpet, which is often neglected. The door panels are in great condition with no cracks or splits and the door pulls are solid and in tact, there is one small spot on the driver's door panel that is visible in the photos. This car features a modern radio from RetroSound that was made specifically for a 1971 Monte Carlo with a vintage look. Most importantly, the dash has never been cut or modified for the installation. The dash looks great with no splits, sun fading, or cracks. The original package tray looks great with no warping, fading, or sun damage. This is one of the nicer interiors we have seen in person in a Monte Carlo and is a true study of how these cars looked from the factory.

The trunk is very clean and nicely detailed.

Chevrolet interiors from this era are not known to wear well over the years and the spectacular condition of this interior is a huge testament to the meticulous care this car has received throughout its life and another great verification of the low original mileage.

Mechanical

This Monte Carlo is in excellent mechanical condition and it is ready to be enjoyed. As stated above, we have put about 50 miles on this car recently with absolutely no problems and it performed great. The big block engine starts right away every time, runs well, and idles smoothly. This Monte Carlo is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. In the video below one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there are no strange noises or vibrations and the car performs quite well overall. The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other. The transmission shifts smoothly throughout the power band. The car runs cool and does not overheat. This Monte Carlo has plenty of power. The original 350ci engine has been replaced with a 454ci engine that has been rebuilt. We were told the block was bored out/built, and later the heads were also gone through and built. This engine seems to be very healthy. Also, the engine compartment is beautifully clean and highly detailed as one can see in the photos.

The car is ready to be driven and enjoyed. The horn works as do all the exterior lights, interior lights, indicators, dash lights, and wipers. Even detailed items like the kay buzzer still work. All of the gauges work. The blower for the heater works, but the fan switch is finicky. The car does drip some oil. The car has a very healthy exhaust note as one can hear in the video. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car.

This Monte Carlo runs and drives as well as it looks.

Overall Condition

Overall, this 1971 Monte Carlo is in amazing condition. This car is particularly rare and extra desirable with the 454ci engine and the triple black color scheme. Good examples of the first-generation Monte Carlos are hard to find and draw a huge premium in the current market. Cars like this are the Barrett Jackson stars of the future.

The excellent condition, and the desirable options make this Monte Carlo especially important and difficult to duplicate. This Monte Carlo always gets a ton of attention driving down the road. It is very apparent that the vehicle has been well taken care of by its previous owners. The prices of first-generation Monte Carlos have increased drastically over the past years, especially for premium examples like this car. Although this car isn't super original it is still a very good example of a 71 monte. They are secure and wise investments for a collector. One could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal effort.

Other sellers are not taking the time to show the car in such great detail to give you all of the numbers, options, photos, and video.

Thank you for looking and please do not hesitate to email or call with any questions.
