This is the correct and original color scheme as verified by the codes on the data sticker pictured in this ad. The manual transmission Fox bodies draw a great premium over the automatic transmission cars. The hatchback is also the most desirable body style so the combination on this Mustang is just about the most sought-after.

Exterior

The Black exterior is in great driver condition. As one can see in the photos the finish has a terrific gloss and nice finish. The mustang pony wheels are in great condition with a brilliant finish and no curb rash. The BF Goodrich G-Force Sport Comp 2 tires have plenty of tread left and are sized 245/55R16. There are no major imperfections that have been intentionally excluded from the photos. There are some very tiny blemishes that were too small to show up in the pictures, but nothing that is really noticeable from about five feet away. This Mustang has no rust issues. As one can see in the many photos of the underside of the car, it is very clean underneath. We have included specific photos of the rear spring mounts, rockers, lower quarter panels, and the area's most prone to rust to show how nice this car looks.

Interior

The Smoke gray interior in this Mustang is in outstanding condition. The gauge faces are crisp and clean and the lenses are clear. The door panels are in excellent shape and the door pulls are solid and intact. The dash and console are in great condition with no cracks, fading, or sun damage. The seats look just as great in person as they do in the photos with no rips or split seams. The rear seats look like no one has ever sat in them. There is just a minimal amount of wear in the typical spot on the bolster where the driver gets in and out. The carpet is also in great condition with no holes or tears. The original radio works and gets good reception, but the display is dim. Most importantly, the dash never been cut or modified for an aftermarket installation. The jack and jack handle are still with the car. The original space saver spare is still with the car and has never been used. This Mustang has never been smoked in; there are no burns marks and no aroma of cigarettes.

Mustang interiors from this era are not known to wear well, and the great condition of this interior is a huge testament to the meticulous care and attention this car has received throughout its life,

Mechanical

This Mustang seems to be in very good mechanical condition. The car starts right away every time, runs well, and idles smoothly. It drives great and feels nice on the road and at highway speeds. In the video in this ad one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there are no vibrations or strange noises and the car performs quite well overall. The brakes do not pull to one side or the other. The car has an aftermarket short shifter is incredibly tight and precise and the transmission does not pop out of gear. The clutch feels good. There is no blue smoke when starting the car. The car runs cool and does not overheat. This Mustang has plenty of power and sounds great. Also, the engine compartment is beautifully clean, detailed, and correct as one can see in the photos.

There are no "check engine" or other warning lights that stay on. The horn works as do all the exterior lights, interior lights, dash lights, wipers, power windows, and power locks. All of the gauges work. The blower for the heater and a/c works on all speeds. The air conditioning worked when we first purchased the car, but it does not blow col now so it may need some freon. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car.

Overall Condition

Overall, this 1989 Mustang GT hatchback is in magnificent driver condition. The beautiful color combination, the manual transmission, the hatchback body style, and the excellent overall condition make this car especially important and hard to duplicate. It is very hard to find a Mustang GT from this era that is still in great original condition as most were used and abused. This Mustang always gets a ton of attention driving down the road. It is apparent that the vehicle has been well taken care of by its previous owners. While we and the previous owner believe this car to have actual mileage, the title shows nonactual. The prices of Fox body Mustangs increased considerably over the past several years. They are secure and wise investments for a collector. Cars like this are the Barrett Jackson stars of the future. One could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal effort.
