Seven Hills Motorcars is very proud to offer this absolutely spectacular 1974 Jaguar E-Type Roadster with only 46,240 original miles. The car has a stunning paintjob, brilliantly refinished chrome, and a beautiful interior. It looks fantastic, runs great, and is a pleasure to drive. It is finished in the gorgeous color combination of White over Biscuit Tan interior.
A Jaguar Production Record Trace Certificate history report from the Jaguar Heritage Trust is included with the car. It confirms that the wonderful color scheme is the correct and original one. The low mileage is verified not only by the condition of the car, but also the clear Ohio title that shows the mileage as “Actual.”
This is an excellent opportunity to own a very rare and highly desirable classic Jaguar. The market on Jaguar E-Type's is very hot right now, especially for nice examples like this car. One could easily buy this car now and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to come. There is no way someone could purchase a similar Jaguar and restore it to this level of quality for anything near our asking price. Please peruse all of the photos, video, and other information below to get a true sense of how exceptionally nice this Jaguar really is.
As a side note, this E-Type is not a dealer auction vehicle. We hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our Classics come from owners who expect their cars to go to someone that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the Jaguar, just give us a call.
Exterior
The White exterior is in beautiful driver quality condition. As one can see in the photos the finish has dazzling gloss, deep shine, and smooth finish. The chrome and brightwork on the car looks stunning with a bright and brilliant finish. The wire wheels and spinners are in excellent condition with a great finish and no curb rash. The tires have plenty of tread left and are sized 215060R15. There are no major blemishes that have been intentionally excluded from the photos, there may be a few tiny imperfections that were too small to show up in the photos, but nothing that is noticeable from about five feet away. The convertible top looks wonderful and almost brand new. There are no holes, frayed edges, and the rear window is perfectly clean with no scratches or yellowing.
Interior
The Biscuit Tan leather interior of the Jaguar looks utterly splendid. The quality of the workmanship and materials is top-notch. The seats are in excellent condition with no split seams, rips, or hardly any wear at all. The carpet is also in great condition with no stains, rips, or holes. The dash is in nice condition with no cracks, fading, or sun damage. The gauge faces are clean, but some of the lenses are a bit cloudy. The door panels look excellent. This car has not been smoked in; there are obviously no burn marks or aroma of cigarettes what-so-ever.
The trunk is very clean, highly detailed, and well-trimmed with a matching full size spare tire and matching chrome wire wheel.
Mechanical
This Jaguar E-Type seems to be in good mechanical condition. The inline six engine starts every time, runs well, and idles smooth. The car drives nicely on the road and at highway speeds. In the video below one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, braking to a stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there are no vibrations and the car performs quite well overall. The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other. The transmission shifts well throughout the power band.
The wipers work as do the horn, blower, headlights, running lights, brights, taillights, speedometer, tachometer, and odometer. The water temp gauge, air conditioning, battery gauge, oil pressure gauge, and fuel gauge appear to work. The clock does not work and the temp control knob is sticky. The a/c does not blow cold. As with many other older carbureted cars it is a bit cold blooded, but has started ever time for us when the choke is used properly. Also, the engine compartment is very correct as one can see in the photos. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this Jaguar roadster, especially with the top down on a nice day.
Overall Condition
Overall, this 1974 Jaguar E-Type Roadster is in marvelous driver quality condition. As stated above, there is absolutely no way someone could restore a Jaguar to anywhere near this level for any amount near our asking price.
The low miles, nice condition, Trust Certificate, and the beautiful correct color combination make this car especially important and difficult to duplicate. This Jaguar always gets a ton of attention driving down the road. It is very apparent that the vehicle has been well taken care of by its previous owners. One could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal effort.
Thank you for looking and please email or call with any questions.
