Seven Hills Motorcars is very proud to offer this stunning 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo in excellent condition with 75,950 Miles. This Monte Carlo looks fantastic, it runs great, and drives awesome. The car is finished in the beautiful and highly desirable color combination of Black Cherry (78) exterior over Black Vinyl (757) interior with bucket seats. This is the correct and original color scheme verified by the codes on the trim tag pictured in this ad. This Monte Carlo has a very healthy GM performance crate engine and is very quick. This is an excellent opportunity to own an exceptional Monte Carlo that is ready to be used and enjoyed at an unbeatable value.

The 1970 model year is desirable and sought after from the first-generation Monte Carlos. One could easily buy this car now and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to come as these A-Body's are appreciating fast and the market on them is very hot right now, especially for such an nice example like this car. The low mileage is verified not only by the condition of the car, but also the clear Ohio title, pictured in this ad, the shows the mileage as “Actual.”

As a side note, this Monte Carlo is not a dealer auction vehicle. We hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our classics come from owners who expect their cars to go to someone that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the Chevrolet, just give us a call.

Exterior

The Black Cherry (78) exterior is in nice driver condition. As one can see in the photos, the paint has a good gloss, deep shine, and smooth finish. Both doors open and shut well and feel great when you close them. The rally wheels are in excellent condition with a brilliant finish and no curb rash. The raised white letter tires are almost brand new and still have the nubs on them, they are sized 245/60R15. There are no major imperfections that have been intentionally excluded from the photos. The chrome and other bright-work on the car looks great overall, the rear bumper does show some age. There are some very tiny blemishes that were too small to show up in the pictures, but nothing that is really noticeable from about five or ten feet away. There is some bubbling in the paint on the back of the trunk lid and around the rear wheel arches. The car does have some rust issues in the typical areas. We have included many photos of the underside of the car and photos of the areas most prone to rust to show how it looks.

The Monte Carlo looks just as good in person as it does in the photos.

Interior

The Black (757) interior of the Monte Carlo is in fantastic condition. The gauge faces are clean and crisp and the gauge lenses are clear. The carpet is also in great condition with no stains, rips, or holes. This includes the rear carpet, which is often neglected. The seats look just as great in person as they do in the photos with no split seams or excessive wear. The seat is not overly worn in the typical area on the bolster where the driver gets in and out, there are just a couple spots in that area. The door panels are in great condition with no cracks or splits and the door pulls are solid and intact. The dash looks great with no splits, sun fading, or cracks. The original package tray looks great with no warping, fading, or sun damage.

Chevrolet interiors from this era are not known to wear well over the years and the spectacular condition of this interior is a huge testament to the meticulous care this car has received throughout its life and another great verification of the low original mileage.

The interior looks just as good in person as it does in the photos.

Mechanical

This Monte Carlo is in excellent mechanical condition and it is ready to be enjoyed. The GM Performance crate engine starts right away every time, runs well, and idles smoothly. This Monte Carlo is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. In the video below one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there are no strange noises or vibrations and the car performs quite well overall. The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other. The transmission shifts smoothly throughout the power band. The car runs cool and does not overheat. This Monte Carlo has plenty of power from the GM performance crate engine. Also, the engine compartment is beautifully clean and highly detailed as one can see in the photos.

This classic Chevy is ready to be driven and enjoyed. The horn works as do all the exterior lights, interior lights, indicators, and wipers. The blower for the heater and a/c works on all speeds. The air conditioning itself works and blows cold. One can observe the a/c compressor clicking on and engaging properly in the video. All of the gauges work with the obvious exception of the clock and we are not sure about the aftermarket temp gauge. The car has a very healthy exhaust note as one can hear in the video. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car.

This Monte Carlo runs and drives as well as it looks.

Overall Condition

Overall, this 1970 Monte Carlo is in excellent driver condition. This car is particularly rare and extra desirable Black Cherry paint and Black Buckets. Good examples of the first-generation Monte Carlos are hard to find and draw a huge premium in the current market. Cars like this are the Barrett Jackson stars of the future.

The nice condition, the GM performance crate engine, and the desirable options make this Monte Carlo especially important and difficult to duplicate. This Monte Carlo always gets a ton of attention driving down the road. It is very apparent that the vehicle has been well taken care of by its previous owners. The prices of first-generation Monte Carlos have increased drastically over the past years. They are secure and wise investments for a collector. One could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal effort.

Thank you for looking and please do not hesitate to email or call with any questions.
