The Artic White (10) over Black Leather (193) color combination is rare, highly desirable, truly striking, and looks great on this C5 targa top coupe body style. It is also the correct and original color scheme as verified by the codes on the service sticker and window sticker, which are both pictured in this ad. Besides the beautiful color, this Corvette is absolutely loaded with sought-after options such as Heads Up Display (HUD), 6-Speed manual transmission, Real time damping, memory package, dual zone automatic digital climate control, and much more. This Corvette is all original and has never been in an accident or had any kind of paint work. It is also completely stock and unmolested with no modifications.

There is a copy of the AutoCheck vehicle history report in this ad. The history report shows no accidents and verifies the very low original mileage. We have recently driven this Corvette over 400 miles since we purchased it. During that time the car was completely reliable, had no issues, and was a true pleasure to drive. Exterior

The Artic White exterior is in fantastic condition. As one can see in the photos, the finish has dazzling gloss, smooth finish, and deep shine. The car was recently paint corrected and ceramic coated. The paint appears like new with no swirls/scratches. Both doors open and shut nicely. The original alloy wheels are in like new condition with a brilliant finish and no curb rash. Since the photos were taken the car now has brand new tires with less than 10 miles on them and are correctly sized 245/45R17 in the front and 275/40R18 in the rear. The original tires were not replaced due to wear, but simply due to age for safety. This Corvette has always been stored indoors and arguably looks better in person than the photos.

Interior

The Black Leather interior of the Corvette is in outstanding condition. The gauge faces are crisp and clean and the lenses are crystal clear. The factory radio works and sounds great. Most importantly, the dash has never been cut or modified for an aftermarket installation. The dash and console are in great shape with no cracks, fading, or sun damage. The seats look just as great in person as they do in the photos with no rips, holes, or split seams. There is just minimal wear in the typical spot on the bolster where the driver gets in and out. The carpet is also in excellent condition with no stains, rips, or holes. This includes the rear carpet, which is often neglected. The door panels are in great shape. This Corvette has never been smoked in; there are no burn marks and no aroma of cigarettes.

Corvette interiors from this era are not known to wear well and the excellent condition of this interior is a huge testament to the meticulous care and attention this Corvette has received throughout its life and another great verification of the low original mileage.

Mechanical

This Corvette is in suburb mechanical condition. As stated above, we have recently put over 400 miles on this car with no problems at all. The LS1 engine starts right away every time, idles smooth, and runs great. The car drives magnificently and feels nice on the road and at highway speeds, it drives just as well as you would expect from a well maintained sports car with extremely low mileage. In the video in this ad one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there are no strange noises or vibrations and the car performs quite well overall. The Targa top doesn't rattle like most C5s and still fits tight to the car. The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other. The transmission shifts great, the shifter is tight, does not pop out of gear, and the clutch feels good. The car runs cool and does not overheat. This Corvette has plenty of power and is very fast. Also, the engine compartment is beautifully clean, detailed, and correct as one can see in the photos.

Everything on this Corvette works and it is ready to be enjoyed. The head-up display works as do the exterior lights, interior lights, dash lights, fog lights, horn, wipers, indicators, power windows, power locks, power seat in all directions, and power mirrors in all directions. Please note in the video that all of the warning lights work properly. They light up when the key is first turned on and then go off when the engine is started. There are no "check engine" or other warning lights that stay on. The blower for the heater and a/c works on all speeds. The a/c itself works and blows cold. All of the gauges work. The digital displays on the radio and climate control are not dim and none of the elements are burned out, which is a common problem on C5 Corvettes. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car, especially with the 6-speed manual transmission and the targa top out on a beautiful day.

Overall Condition

Overall, this 1999 Corvette looks fantastic and is truly and investment grade C5. The beautiful original color combination, excellent condition, the 6-speed manual, the great options, and the very very low original mileage make this C5 especially important and very hard to duplicate. In my opinion and based on our experience the fifth generation C5 Corvettes from 1997-2004 are rising in value and are becoming classics. This is especially true for premium and low mileage examples like this C5. The value of these cars is going up and they are solid investments for a collector. One could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal effort.

Other sellers are not taking the time to show the car is in such great detail to give you all of the options codes, photos, and video. This information is very important in Corvette pricing, especially for an exceptional example like this car, and will become even more important as time passes and this car becomes older and even more rare.
