Seven Hills Motorcars is very proud to offer this beautiful 1995 Mercedes Benz SL500 in excellent condition with only 69,765 original miles. It looks spectacular, runs great, and is an excellent driver. The Mercedes is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combination of Imperial Red (582) over Mushroom Tan (275) interior. This is also the correct and original color scheme, verified by the codes in the vehicle data card that is still with the car and pictured below. The other original manuals, books, 2 keys and remotes, tools, jack, and spare are also still with the car. The low original mileage is also verified not only by the condition of the car, but also by the clear Ohio title, pictured in this ad, showing the mileage as "Actual."

There is also a copy of the AutoCheck report in this ad. The report is totally clean, shows no accident history, and verifies the low mileage. Many in the classic car industry are saying that this body style Mercedes SL, the R129, is the next classic generation of Mercedes that will start going up in value. One could easily buy this car now and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to come. Exterior

The Imperial Red (582) exterior is in excellent condition. As one can see in the photos, the paint has a brilliant gloss, deep shine, and smooth finish. Both doors open and shut nicely; it has that solid Mercedes touch and feels like a vault door closing. The car exhibits nice body panel fit overall. The “8-Hole” alloy wheels are in great shape with a brilliant finish. The Michelin tires have about 90% tread left and are correctly sized 225/55R16. There are no major imperfections that have been intentionally excluded from the photos. As one would expect from a paintjob with many years on it there are some very small blemishes around that are too tiny so show up in the photos, but nothing that is really noticeable from about five or ten feet away. As one can see in the many photos of the underside, this SL500 is very clean underneath. We have also included specific photos of the rockers, lower front and rear quarter panels, and other areas on the car most prone to rust to show how nice it looks.

Interior

The Mushroom Tan (275) interior of the SL500 looks absolutely fantastic. The seats are great condition and look just in person as they do in the photos with no excessive wear. The carpet looks great with no stains, rips, or holes. All of the gauge faces are crisp and the lenses are clear. The original door panels look wonderful with no cracks or splits, and both door pulls are solid. The Black (740) convertible soft-top is in good condition. The rear windows are clear with no yellowing or fogginess. The dash is in excellent condition with no cracks or sun fading. The car now has a more modern radio with an auxiliary input. Please note that the original power antenna still works properly. This car has never been smoked in; there is no aroma of cigarettes what so ever and no burn marks. The trunk is very clean and nicely detailed with the original Mercedes tool roll, spare tire, and rim, jack.

The excellent condition of this interior is a huge testament to the meticulous care and attention this Mercedes has received throughout its life.

Mechanical

This SL500 appears to be in very nice mechanical condition and it is ready to be enjoyed. The engine starts right away every time and idles well. It is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. In the video one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to a stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that it runs great, there are no strange noises or vibrations, and the car performs quite nice overall. The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other. There is no blue smoke when starting or driving the car. It runs cool and does not overheat. The gauge shows that the engine makes great oil pressure. Also, the engine bay is clean, nicely detailed, and correct as one can see from the photos.

Please note in the video the dash warning lights; they light up when the key is first turned on and then go off when the engine is started just as they should. There are no "check engine" lights that stay on. The horn works as do the fog lights, headlights, brights, turn signals, interior lights, indicators, dash gauges lights, wipers, power locks, and fan. The a/c works and blows cold. The power convertible top works properly and the entire operation of raising and lowering the automatic power top can be viewed in the video in this ad. All of the gauges work and the clock keeps time. This Mercedes has lots of power with the 5.0 liter V8 engine. The power locks work and the outside locks work properly with the car, but the remotes may need batteries as the remote button does not work. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car, especially with the top down on a beautiful day.

Overall Condition

Overall, this 1995 SL500 is in excellent condition and is a true bargain at our asking price. This car is a premium example; it is very clean with low miles and a clear AutoCheck history with no accidents. This Mercedes is a great value and will only appreciate over time. Someone could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal effort.
