Exterior

The Black exterior is in excellent driver condition. As one can see in the photos, the paint has an excellent gloss, deep shine, and smooth finish. The original Z28 alloy wheels are in great condition with a brilliant finish and no major curb rash. The BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires show some age, but have plenty of tread left and are correctly sized 245/50ZR16. There are no major blemishes that have been intentionally excluded from the photos. There may be some very tiny imperfections around the car that were too faint to show up in the photos, but nothing else that is really noticeable from about five feet away. This Camaro has no rust issues. As one can see in the many photo of the underside this Camaro is very clean underneath. We have included specific photos rockers, spring perches, and the other areas of the car that are most prone to rust to show how nice this car looks.

Interior

The Grey cloth interior in this Z28 is in outstanding condition. The gauge faces are crisp and clean and the lenses are crystal clear. The dash and console are in great shape with no cracks, fading, or sun damage. The seats look just as great in person as they do in the photos with no tears, rips, or excessive wear. The driver's seat is not overly worn in the typical spot on the bolster of the driver's seat where the driver gets in and out. The carpet also looks great with no major stains, tears, or holes. The door panels look excellent. The original radio works well. Most importantly, the dash has never been cut or modified for an aftermarket installation. This car has never been smoked in; there are no burn marks and no aroma of cigarettes what-so-ever. Camaro interiors from this time period are not known to wear well and the excellent condition of this all original interior is a huge testament to the detailed care and attention this Z has received throughout its life.

The trunk is clean and complete with the space saver spare, and jack.

Mechanical

This Camaro Z28 seems to be in great mechanical condition. It is an amazing driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. The car starts right away every time, idles smooth, and runs well. In the video in this ad one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there are no strange noises or vibrations and the Camaro performs quite well overall. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It runs cool and does not overheat. The shifter is tight, does not pop out of gear, and the clutch feels great. Also, the engine is clean, nicely detailed, stock, and correct as one can see in the photos.

This Camaro Z28 is ready to be driven and enjoyed. The horn works as do the indicators, exterior lights, interior lights, dash lights, wipers, rear defrost, and blower for the heater and a/c on all speeds. The air conditioning itself blows cold. All of the gauges work. Please note in the video that all of the warning lights work properly. They light up when the key is first turned on and then go off when the engine is started. There are no "check engine" or other warning lights that stay on. The coolant level sensor occasionally trips the light on the dash, a new sensor is included with the sale of the car. This Camaro Z28 has a ton of power and handles like it is on rails. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this vehicle, especially with 6-Speed manual transmission.

Overall Condition

Overall, this 1997 Camaro Z28 is in excellent condition and a great value at our asking price. The market for the fourth generation Camaro Z is very strong right now, particularly for 6-speed cars. It is especially strong for correct, original, and low mileage examples like this car. This car turns heads and gets tons of attention wherever it goes. Cars like this are the Barrett Jackson stars of the future. Someone could easily enjoy this Camaro for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price in the years to come with minimal effort.

Other sellers are not taking the time to show the car is in such great detail to give you all of the numbers, option codes, photos, and video.
