This 2002 Camaro is extremely rare being only one of only 283 SS Coupes ever made in Sunset Orange Metallic with an automatic transmission. This SS is extremely desirable as it is final and best year for the 4th generation and finished in one of the rarest and most sought-after color combinations.

This SS has extremely low miles and is virtually like a new car. The previous owner was meticulous about this Camaro, which is evidenced in the cleanliness and condition of this car. It is also completely loaded with options including the desirable center-mount SLP exhaust and SS front grill. The car is finished in the beautiful and highly sought-after color combination of Sunset Orange Metallic (71) over Ebony Leather (192) interior. This is also the correct and original color scheme as verified by the codes on the data sticker pictured in this ad. Please notice the "WU8" RPO code, also on the data sticker, which verifies that this Camaro is an original and true Super Sport. Exterior

The Sunset Orange Metallic (71) exterior is in spectacular condition. As one can see in the photos, the paint has an excellent gloss, deep shine, and smooth glass-like finish. We have seen no paint lines, overspray or other signs of paintwork or repairs at all. The AutoCheck report also shows no accident history, which was confirmed by the previous owner as well. The original SS wheels are in excellent condition with a brilliant finish and no curb rash. The original style Goodyear Eagle F1 tires have plenty of tread left and are correct sized 275/40R17. Often many Camaros will have particularly chipped up front ends; this car does not and even the low front spoiler is in great condition as one can see in the photos. Both bumpers are in very nice shape with no spider-webbing or flaking paint. As one would expect from a vehicle with such low mileage the underside is exceptionally clean as one can see in the many photos of the bottom of the car.

This Camaro SS looks just as good in person as it does in the photos.

Interior

The Ebony Leather interior in this Super Sport looks outstanding. The seats look just as good in person as they do in the photos with no tears, rips, or excessive wear. The driver's seat is not worn in the typical spot on the bolster of the driver's seat where the driver gets in and out. The carpet also looks like new with no stains, tears, or holes. The gauge faces are crisp and clean and the lenses are crystal clear. The dash and console are in great shape with no cracks, fading, or sun damage. The door panels look excellent. This car has never been smoked in; there are no burn marks and no aroma of cigarettes what-so-ever. The trunk is complete with the space saver spare, jack handle, and jack.

Camaro interiors from this time period are not known to wear well and the excellent condition of this all original interior is a huge testament to the detailed care and attention this SS has received throughout its life.

The interior looks just as good in person as it does in the photos.

Mechanical

This Camaro SS is in excellent mechanical condition. It is an amazing driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. The car starts right away every time, idles smooth, and runs well. In the video in this ad one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there are no strange noises or vibrations and the Camaro performs quite well overall. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It runs cool and does not overheat. The shifter is tight, does not pop out of gear, and the clutch feels great. Also, the engine is clean, beautifully detailed, complete, correct, and original as one can see from the photos.

Everything on this car works and it is ready to be driven and enjoyed. The horn works as do the indicators, exterior lights, interior lights, wipers, power seats in all directions, and blower for the heater and a/c on all speeds. The a/c works and blows cold. All of the gauges work. Please note in the video that all of the warning lights work properly. They light up when the key is first turned on and then go off when the engine is started. There are no "check engine" or other warning lights that stay on. This Camaro SS has a ton of power and handles like it is on rails with the subframe connectors. The car has a very healthy exhaust note with the optional center mount SLP exhaust. This exhaust system also gave the car more power of the base SS exhaust. Additionally, the previous owner installed a remote activated exhaust cut-out. The exhaust cut-out opened the car is very loud and sounds very aggressive. The exhaust with the cut-out both opened and closed can be heard in the video. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this vehicle, especially with the T-Tops out on a beautiful day.

This Super Sport runs and drives as well as it looks.

Overall Condition

Overall, this 2002 Camaro Z28 Super Sport (SS) is in excellent condition and a great value at our asking price. The market on for the fourth generation Camaro SS is very strong right now, particularly for the final model year 2002. It is especially strong for correct, original, and ultra low mileage examples like this car. This car turns heads and gets tons of attention wherever it goes. Cars like this are the Barrett Jackson stars of the future. Someone could easily enjoy this Super Sport Camaro for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price in the years to come with minimal effort.
