Please call Matt directly at 513-708-1468 with any questions about this car.
Seven Hills Motorcars is glad to offer this low original mileage 1980 Z28 Camaro in excellent driver condition with T-Tops. This Z28 looks amazing and has only 51,875 original miles. The car has great lines; one can even see how clean the car is underneath in the photos below of the car on a lift. Additionally, the 1980 and 1981 Camaros are the most sought-after of the late second generation body style. This is an excellent opportunity to own a classic Camaro that is ready to be used and enjoyed at an unbeatable value. One could easily buy this car now and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to come as these F-Body's are appreciating fast and the market on them is red hot right now.
This Z28 Camaro is completely "Numbers Matching" with the proper part numbers and appropriate date codes on the major components. We have run the numbers on hundreds of Camaros, Trans Am's, and Corvettes over the years and there are very few that are so correct and original. Even the date codes on all the windows and T-Tops are correct. The last six digits of the VIN are stamped on the engine pad, which is pictured in this ad, and the engine is original to the car.
This Z28 is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Black over Tan. The very low original mileage is verified not only by the condition of the car, but also the clear Ohio title, pictured below, that states the mileage as "Actual." Please peruse all of the photos, numbers, video, and information in this ad to get a true sense of clean, nice, and original this Z28 really is.
There is a great amount of original documentation that comes with this Camaro. The original owners manual, the original sales contract, original odometer statement from 1979 showing the car had 2.3 miles at delivery, the warranty information booklet showing the original owners name, Uniroyal tire booklet, 1980 GM maintenance booklet, and the 1980 Chevrolet consumer information booklet are all still with the car.
As a side note, this Z28 Camaro is not a dealer auction vehicle. We hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our classics come from owners who expect their cars to go to someone that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the Camaro, just give us a call.
Exterior
The Black exterior is in excellent condition. As one can see in the photos, the paint has an awesome gloss, dazzling shine, and smooth finish. The trim and decals are in amazing condition with no fading or peeling. The previous owner said that the car recently received a very high quality paint job and brand new decals. Often Camaro's will have particularly chipped up front ends; this car does not. The low front spoiler, which is very fragile and prone to damage, is in excellent condition as one can see in the photos. Both bumpers are in excellent shape with no flaking paint or spider web cracks. The factory N90 aluminum wheels are great condition with a nice finish. The Cooper Cobra tires are literally brand new with less than 20 miles on them. As one can see in the many photos of the underside the bottom of the car is clean. We have included specific photos of the spring perches, rockers, lower quarter panels, and other areas most prone to rust on a second generation Camaro to show how it looks.
Window Date Codes
Please note that ALL of the glass on this Camaro, the windshield, both pieces of door glass, the rear window, and even both T-Tops are all date coded and original as each piece predates the car's body build date of the second week of October, 1980 (10B). Original glass is a good indication that this car has had no major accident history and never sustained significant damage.
Interior
The Tan interior of the Z28 is in great condition. The seats look just in person as they do in the photos with no excessive wear. The seats are not overly worn in the typical area on the bolster where the driver gets in and out. The gauge faces are clean and crisp and the gauge lenses are clear. The carpet is newer and also in great condition with no stains, rips, or holes. This includes the rear carpet, which is often neglected. The carpet on the door panels is in good shape and not faded. The door panels themselves are in good condition overall and fit well to the doors. The door pulls are solid and in tact. The vintage radio works well, gets good reception, and most importantly, the dash has never been cut of modified for an aftermarket installation. The dash looks great with no splits, sun fading, or cracks. The original package tray is not warped.
Camaro interiors from this era are not known to wear well and the excellent condition of this interior is a huge testament to the care this car has received throughout it's life.
Mechanical
This Z28 is in seems to be in good mechanical condition. The car starts right away every time, runs well, and idles smooth. This Camaro is a nice driver that feels great on the road. In the video below one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 65mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there are no strange noises or vibrations and the car performs quite well overall. The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other. The transmission shifts well throughout the power band. This Camaro has plenty of power and is quite fast. Also, the engine compartment is beautifully clean, detailed, correct, and original as one can see in the photos. The horn works as do the wipers, exterior lights, and the blower for the heater and a/c on high. The a/c works and blows cold. The car drives like it has a very low rear end gear. The car now has a true dual exhaust with no catalytic converter and a very healthy exhaust note. The hood flap does not work. All of the gauges work with the obvious exception of the clock and the temp gauge. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car, especially the T-tops out on a beautiful day.
Overall Condition
Overall, this 1980 Z28 Camaro is in excellent condition. The T-Tops, low mileage, great documentation, and the beautiful color scheme make this car particularly desirable. Low mileage and original examples of the second generation Camaros are hard to find and draw a huge premium in the current market. Numbers matching and originality is extremely important in Camaro pricing and as one can see this car is very original and correct. Cars like this are the Barrett Jackson stars of the future.
This Camaro always gets a ton of attention driving down the road. It is very apparent that the vehicle has been well taken care of by its previous owners. The prices of second generation Camaros have increased drastically over the past years, especially for exceptional examples like this car. They are secure and wise investments for a collector. One could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal effort.
Other sellers are not taking the time to show the car is in such great detail with so many photos and a video as well as giving you all of the other numbers. As stated above, numbers matching is extremely important in Chevrolet pricing and will become even more important as time passes and this car becomes older and even more rare. This information is very valuable and important for pricing. Any perspective buyer, for any of our vehicles or from other sellers, should ask for all the numbers and information before he or she makes a purchase.
Thank you for looking and please do not hesitate to email or call with any questions.
